barneyrubble
Seems like we're going to lose players, surely better to get others in first to avoid inflated prices. So who do you want to sign ,you have a budget of 18 million.

Phileas Fogg
Good question - just for the purposes of this i’ll assume Reid, Bryan, Flint, Magnússon and Pack all leave.. I also feel we need a right back I’d quite like us to sign any of the following.. LB McQueen - seems a pretty likely one if you believe the rumours Barry Douglas - probably not likely, but knowing Wolves they may strengthen drastically and leave him surplus RB Cyrus Christie - incredibly unlikely with Fredricks going to West Ham but someone I’ve admired for years ever since he was at Coventry. Darikwa - quick and athletic - wanted us to get him before Burnley did. CM Norwood - good replacement for Pack, experienced and good dead ball taker Ryan Woods - good player who I believe can also play right back Jackson Irvine - wanted him last summer. Not sure if Hull would sell though. ST (tricky one, can’t think of many players who can replicate Reid’s style) Jarrod Bowen - really like the look of him, wouldn’t be cheap Nouha Dicko - industrious and energetic, I’ve always liked him. Think his all round game would really help Diedhiou and he’s a French speaker too. I think if we went for those suggestions we’d have to be prepared to up our wage budget which always seems to be the issue. I notice I’ve gone a bit Tinman85 and listed players experienced at the level.
cidered abroad
If I was the boss as you describe the Head Coach, I would recruit an experienced and trustworthy coach to replace myself! One who will keep everyone focused in the aims of the club and maintain discipline.

Always Ashton Red
Depending on outgoings... GK - Dean Henderson LB - Sam McQueen... MD/ATT MD - Zinedine FERHAT (20 Assists last season) ST - Umut Bozok (24 Goals in Ligue2.. Might bring abit of a fee but only 21 so fits the long term bill here). Abraham Romanovich
I think we should start a precedent and only sign players with the same surname , For example Cole. We could already have Ashley , Joe , Nat King and Brendan. (Obviously in a perfect world Newcastle would have been relegated)

CheddarReds
Trying to think of names that haven't been mentioned What about Mason Mount on loan from Chelsea? Imagine they'd trust us after Tammy, and he had a good first loan at Vitesse this season. Imagine a loan in England would be useful for him and of interest to Chelsea too. A lot of people are talking (understandably) about Dean Henderson, but Christian Walton is 22 and had a good year on loan to Wigan last season so as an alternative perhaps worth a look. Viktor Tsygankov would be an exciting addition on the wing but would cost a pretty penny, probably not realistic but that's why I'm not the boss. Swede
Brereton at Forest would be a good shout. Ollie Watkins from Brentford as a replacement for Bobby [perhaps a little bit unrealistic] Josh Scowen/ John Fleck as we need that hard man in midfield
