Personally I think the Robin being used falls the wrong side of the line between dated and retro-cool. Rather than all this confused mish-mash of branding, it would have been so much better just to introduce a new modern robin badge and make a clean break, starting now. Would have got them from the club if they reduced them when a new kit came out. I think the club have done well with designs lately, I really like the purple now (although I got the originals as a joke), and the white /black from 76 was always my fav. I’m sure someone clever on here could knock up a version now that’s not too far away from the final product and piss on the bonfire a bit. My opinion is a bit of a build up can be good and build excitement if done in the right way. But I think the reaction has already shifted to ‘I’m bored of this now’ or in some cases it’s genuinely made some people annoyed. Either way, not the desired effect and the new PR team don’t seem to have grasped that yet.
