Taz Posted June 17, 2018 Report Share Posted June 17, 2018 Headteacher at the school I work in uses obviously a lot, to the point where I now throw it in when talking to her. Doesn't bat an eyelid!! A previous one, when she was about to have a dig about something was "Not being funny but".... In these two cases, I think it's sometimes a mixture of nerves, or lack of confidence, so I wouldn't say it was exclusively a young person's thing. What does irritate me recently though, is the amount of boys (more so teenage) who walk around with a "man bag". It doesn't make you look cool, it's not a status symbol, and quite frankly I fail to see why anyone of the opposite sex would find it attractive.
