I am completely irrational when it comes to being introduced to anyone who utters the immortal phrase 'I hate football'. I realise that football is not for everyone, but I cant get over the deeply-ingrained thought that the offending person, is in some way morally bankrupt and unworthy of attention. I did take an instant dislike to someone who said, "I don't really like football" followed by "I did go to watch Swindon at Wembley though" we don't talk much now. Still not obsessed mind. Anything that happens in rugby is "you wouldn't see that in football" or "football players don't do that". I get really pissed off when people say it to me. My love of football and rugby/cricket has never hurt anyone but some I've known really slag me for what they see as my obsession. Yet they rarely say the same about their friends/family who booze, bet and batter their wives, girl friends and kids. Strange species aren't we!
