BessexRED
Pete O'Rourke saying we want Webster from Ipswich as Flint's replacement. Wanted a quality leader not another young lad - we're never going to progress properly and stop throwing away stupid leads if we don't have some experienced heads. No thank you. Pickle Rick
Best one I can think of to replace Flint. Better than that Clarke from Pompey from what I’ve seen, plus already proven in the Championship. Massively rated by Ipswich fans.
UREDS_91
Highly rated over that way.

And if he was, what would be do with the captain? Bench?

We have Baker and Wright as first choice CB pairing. Vyner and Kelly as cover along with Hegeler. If Bryan leaves maybe someone who is a specialist LB but can cover LCB would be all we want? Would hope Johnson picks strongest team. Not sure any players get cast iron guarantees of a starting place

I agree and expect us to sign an upcoming player from L1. Jordan Willis being one we are monitoring, for example.

Check out the thread re Bobby for proof of that....... £15 million I think is ludicrous when I’ve seen others suggest they’d let him go for £3-4 million. He’s also whilst played a lot of games suffered an injury at the end of last season. Injury prone I don’t know? I think it would be reasonable that we’d pay similar that of the price we sold Flint. Pretty sure he can play RB too, with Pisano’s availability record he and Wright might well both be accommodated..

I was being ironic fella - referring to those that believe WE will get £15m for a player in his last year.

Charlie BCFC
I got in contact with an Ipswich fan and he said he’s a good CB and good at playing out from the back. He wasn’t as good last season because McCarthys style of play is hoofing it long. But he only rated him at 2.5 mill

Having two top class defenders would be a coup for us. Perhaps we have to risk things like this for quality and perhaps why we have got a different medical team in? RUSSEL85
Ipswich reckons he should be gone for more than £5m and a possibility of being worth a fair bit more in the future. I know there has been a bit of a meltdown over Flint and Bobby but I think Webster is a very good player, with championship experience and should we get Marriot as a replacement for Bobby thats not bad business either. Lrrr
So if £5m is to be believed then £17m in for Reid and Flint, £11.5m potentially on Webster and Marriott.

Seems a lot but possibly saving on wages which too which would be the bigger deal. Just read on their forum someone else reporting fee is 2m which sounds a bit better. Think 3-4m would be fair and about right though it seems they rate him and think he could be a 10-15m prem target if he stays fit
Kodjias Wrist
Considering he is five years younger than flint 5m does not seem so bad.
