He seems a player that has never really spent that long at one club before so maybe he`s settled down a bit as he`s getting older. His pre Xmas form was fantastic, following Christmas and Famaras return he was often played out wide infact most of the time where he is not anywhere near as effective. But the social media posts on this by City are pretty over the top. He’s signed a new contract, not won anything so not sure why the big deal! It looked that way today. Worrying if so, Paterson hasn’t got the strength/core like Bobby did to be able to play that role effectively. Hope I’m proved wrong. FWIW Pato played the first quarter of the season LW/RW, when we were in a good run (2g 5a) the second quarter up to Xmas he played a mix on the wing and as the secondary striker, again when we were on a good run (3g 3a) I think people’s views on his effectiveness are clouded by the few games around the cup games, when we were on tv a lot....and he played well with Reid. He had plenty of good games in that first quarter too. He did have a poor second half of the season where he played the majority of games on the wing.
