Here's someone else with the same surname pronouncing it. It's My-un-pah.

The a with umlaut in Finnish changes the letter a from "ah" as in "glass" to "a" as in "lash". It's not "ay".

I was being a bit harsh with my 'now bring in a first choice goalie' comment before. But my point is that Johnson said only 2 days ago that he plans to bring in 2 goalies, and probably send Max out on loan. I can't see him offering 4 million for that US goalie and then making do with a free who has played 1 game in 3 seasons. He also said it might be a loan, so expect maybe a prem goalie like Ruddy to come in next week.

Just came across this youtube video. 2 excellent saves in this game. 0:48 and 1:18.

Forgive me if you realised this already mate but Tommy is talking about the many difficulties for the foreigner in following the mind-boggling minefield of English  pronunciations of heteronyms (same spelling, different sound)

between "Bury" (pronounced by Lancastrians as in "burn" ) and Bury St Edmunds  (pronounced by effete bloody southerners as in "berry")

Can any of our Dutch friends give us some info on him?

@willem ii

He played for us from 2009-2011. So quite a long time ago. He was second in line and played 19 matches for us in two seasons. To be honest: At that time he did not impress very many supporters. We relegated in 2011, but I won't say that was his fault.... But perhaps he has grown a lot over the years. The fact that he plays for the national team should imply something...

Hunstanton?

But how are you calling London as a truly Viking city? Heavily under Viking influence sure, and attacked I think three times, but it is surely Roman in true origin.

Now Dublin, Dublin is the greatest Viking city outside Scandinavia.

See all the usual Muppets criticise Niki before they have seen him play,what a welcome for the lad.

Chris Houghton wanted him to stay at Brighton and has been highly complimentary ...so why not give him a great welcome and support.

what sort of keeper is he ? With so few games has anyone any info? Does he play out from the back with a high passing accuracy ? Assuming that is what we were looking for to assist the new game plan.

Hope so. But it has to be said it helps that he is a big horrible-looking bugger. The football looks like a tennis ball in 'is gurt big 'ands.

No that’s Greene King and hits you like a brick wall.

Or as one of my mates described it as a young ‘un like being hit by a gold bar wrapped in a silk glove.
