Pring hasn't played league football before, and Pisano, Wright and Hegeler would get absolutely roasted at LB. The league is so strong these days, you're facing top top wingers and we could loose valuable points waiting 4 weeks for Kelly to get fit. So as backup to our inexperienced left back you would have an even more inexperienced left back or as alternatives 3 players out of position with recent injuries. But the problem is, I don't think Johnson views Kelly as a 'specialist left back' but as a CB who can play at LB. Da Silva coming in would enable Kelly to compete with Baker for the left sided CB slot. Also, if Johnson wants to go to a 3-5-2 system in the near future, having Kelly, Pring and Da Silva would be ideal. Kelly could slot in on the left side of the three, with Da Silva and Pring competing for the LWB slots. If you've seen Da Silva play, you'll know how much he likes to get forward, and effectively too it seems. Pring could probably do with a loan to Plymouth or something mind you.
