Tough fixtures and I think those games against QPR away and Blackburn and Sheffield U home look like the most likely wins.

They’re all relegation form predictions.

It's almost as if this place is full of overly critical people. 🤣🤣🤣

This may seem too optimistic for some, but FFS! We've only played two games and we're mid-table and we haven't lost yet, so I feel no need to be pessimistic just yet.

It appears we’re already doomed!

People having us down for less than a point a game, we will be relegated by Easter...

26 points then happy now ?

OP simply asked about how people saw the first ten games going (next 8 in reality) Those fixtures include very good teams with far superior squads so if the forecast isn't great its because the likelihood of us coming second best in those matches.

Doesn't mean we won't pick up points in other games.

The whole thing about the Championship is that it’s nigh on impossible to predict results.

This is a tough league!

Do the same predictions for every other clubs first 10 games. I doubt many will end up as predicted.

We need at least 10 points from the first 10 games. Where those points come from is difficult to predict. 15 points would be good. Anything more will be excellent.

I had 17 before the start of the season. Expected a loss followed by a win by now though.

Forest (h) 1pt

Bolton(a) 1pt

Boro (h) 1pt

Qpr (a) 3pts

Swans(a) 0pts

Blackburn(h) 3pts

Sheff U(H) 3pts

Wba (a) 1pt

Wigan(a) 3pts

Villa(h) 0pts

Total  16pts

If we can take the game to some of these teams a bit more, 16+ is achievable but 12-15 wouldn’t be disappointing.

This is OTIB  - it's NEVER to early for pessimism!

They are tough but merely a taste of what is to come, those 3 are most likely for wins but we are BCFC could lose them and win Boro and Villa games.

Anyway a difficult batch of 10 just what we don't need with the changes made and yet to come.

We have had poor runs in mid and end of seasons prev this seasons could be early.

I based my total on the form from the second half of last season purely because I don't think the squad is any better but neither that much worse but there is some gelling to do still and Famara isn't back for another 3 league games. So 3 draws and a win and four losses. I might go to 9 with an extra draw and one less loss. Webster is better on the ball than Flint and may read the game better but not the aggressive first ball winner and no where near the threat from deadball situations. No idea if DaSilva is better than Bryan or indeed Kelly although I very much like the look of Kelly long term. Weimann will be a better 10 than Reid who was better up top as a false 9 when Famara wasn't injured. Hunt is a massive improvement at RB. Not sure about the GK yet.

Just thought I'd bump this up to see how much pessimism there was before we managed to pick up 15 points from 10 games. Is being in the top 10 not good enough for many people here?!

I believe years of hurt and false dawns have insidiously worked on the collective psyche.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. As fans we've been let down so many times before that we never can quite believe that this club can be a real success. It's pretty sad really.

I remember my old man saying to me as we left after the Brighton game at the millennium, they’ve let us down again son!

The bloke at the Sun once said you support City through thin and thinner.

Just imagine how the gas feel though!

Yeah it could be way worse. I'll always be thankful that I'm not a gas head. 😁
