So to delay my death, I always ensure I keep a copy of the full Encyclopedia Britannica near by. I figure that will give me a few extra years of life after being fatally shot. Rivals spend a long time exchanging gun fire where surely the desired outcome is to kill one another. But then if the good guys get caught the baddies never simply shoot them i.e. precisely what they've been trying to do for the past 10 minutes.
