Eastendboy1965
Thanks for everything you have done for us Steve, however, we would like have a chance at the big time one day. If that is not your bag, as it seems... as every time we get close we fade away so as not to take the chance - then perhaps you might like to sell the club to someone who wants to have a go at the top level? You have your stadium now, nice. The stadium that always used to belong to the Football Club, circa 100years. Lets work a deal where our club is no longer living under this branded Bristol Sport nonsense, but returns instead to being something we feel attached to, something that used to mean more to us than what we are now fed under your leadership. marcofisher
1 post, I smell Gas. This is ridiculous, the man has been there to build the club up to where it is now every step of the way and even he has stated that he wants to see the club in the Premier League sooner rather than later. I look at Bristol Sports and they seem to have all the major teams in their portfolio. Not sure what you are on about?

SL does want it. H'es betting £37m on the wrong horse. I think he got scared off more experienced/expensive managers after Coppell imo.

May be something in this, good experienced managers know what it takes to challenge for promotion and SL doesn't want or the club can't pay the price.Good housekeeping or flawed planning ? Lanterne Rouge
I`d sooner have SL than a bankrupt wannabe Chelsea fan who keeps spouting bullshit to keep a deluded few idiots happy. #repossessionbeforeevolution

Sorry mate but the Coppell fiasco is no excuse for SL not hiring an experienced manager who has won promotion to the Premiership and has the kudos and contacts to get the players that requires. It was pretty obvious that there were many question marks over Coppell's state of mind at the time SL foolishly took him on. In his first interview Coppell couldn't tell us why he was at Bristol City!!!??? It's all about control with SL. Unless he has a massive mind change or departs, Bristol City will never get to the Premiership IMO, no matter what he says.

BlowerBCFC
Also love the fact he thinks we don't own the ground... pretty sure it's included in Bristol City FC Holding Groups account. Separate entity from the football club but in the same group. Good business sense. City goes bust (hopefully it never does) and they can't touch the ground and still belongs to us. We just set up a new company like Rangers did. Can't see us going bust anytime soon with SL at the helm, but if some peoples suggestion on here of investing all the transfer fees we received and paying bigger wages could possibly happen, especially as it would mean we would breach FFP and getting a fine like QPR did. Mr Popodopolous
Technically, Lansdown owns the ground- not that I have a problem with that but he does own the ground.
