Not City related but enjoying a week in Italy, currently in Bologna after a few days in Florence, and Bologna play Inter tomorrow at home, walking through the hotel reception and Inter are staying in the same hotel, all walking around in their tracksuits, security everywhere and they locked the gates to the hotel as Inter fans are hanging around outside, can’t imagine that happening in the Uk, crazy

Stayed there last year. Great place, Bologna but expensive. Which hotel?

Did you travel by high speed train from Firenza to Bologna? 300 kilometres an hour through mostly tunnels. Wow!

Savoia Regency one of the only ones with a pool, stayed in Florence for a few days first and got the train, yeh the train is mental, so good 35 mins Bologna to Florence, only €24!

Serie A seems to be on the up, which is good for football.

A way to go to reach the level of the 90s though. Have a look at this select team then think of the great players not in it:

Definitely is on the right road again.

Think it's always been excellent tactically, and now seems to be improving talent wise- mix of new cash, 4 CL places and a lot of shrewd business between clubs has helped raise the playing side.

Load of structural problems in Italian football though- a bit like Italy itself.

Yes it certainly appears that Italian football is back on the rise after some difficult years.

It would be great if fans abroad began reconnecting with Serie A like we did in years gone by.

This is a high quality English language online magazine mainly covering Italian football - well worth a look:
