Intrigued by the people that have watched City from the late 80s or before, and have Tammy ahead of Goater?! As good as Tammy was, the Goat in our 97/98 promotion season was an absolute machine. He also scored 45 in 81 appearances for us!!!

I think it's a case of recent history being in the mind!!

nostalgia and currentdayism always play a part in this kind of stuff.

Thought about including Goater. Was a difficult choice between him and Tammy. For me though Agostino was the class act in that period. Not quite as prolific but did have a great record against the Gas. All about opinions I guess. Fwiw I am suprised that I think so far I am the only person to go for Shelton in midfield

CM: Shelton, Noble, M.Elliott, Tinnion,

I’m  completely in the minority but I never rated Orr or Basso.

Goodridge is a pick from the heart not the head as is Noble.

Welch, Moller, Heaton

Orr, Carey

Barnard, Scott

Taylor, Collier, Merrick, Hunter

Murray, Gavin

Walsh, Smith

Shelton, Doherty, Tinnion, Gow

Taylor, Goater, Cheesley, Ritchie

What these squads are pointing out to me is how we have really struggled for decent RBs down the years. LBs there are about ten that could be in there.

I think I'd have to go back to 77 or 78 and it might as well be 1878 as 1978. Er, Gerry Gow is about as far as I get before random player names pop up: Alan Nichols, Ricky Chandler, Les Carter, Forbes Philipson Masters. Someone stop me.
