Bristol City v Sheffield Utd Match Day 7

Johnson is more concerned about not losing this game rather than trying to win it. All this talk of City playing a fast, exciting, high pressing game full of width and attacking options..... only to match another teams formation and stifle our own attacking threat.

Will be interesting if he reverts back to 442/4411/4231 later in the game or if he’s really happy with a point against a solid team but no more

We are probably the better football side but they look the more likely to score.

We seem to have lapsed back into a slow languid build up and as such have created little or nothing, we need to up the pace.

Diedhiou you cannot fault his effort but his first touch is poor and in possession gives the ball away too much.

Hunt has lost his man twice causing us problems defensively, the first time he had to commit a foul on the edge of our box to retrieve the situation.

Kelly got over confident and that led to an unnecessary booking, but he has looked impressive again, as has Eliasson, Webster, Kalas and especially Brownhill.

Pack is playing ok but sooner or later he will be caught in possession on the edge of our box faffing around.

And the commentary sucks.

The better side really? Been dominated for 30mins.

Agreed, fammys first touch has been poor. Matty was unfortunate not to start considering his contribution last few games. Can only think Lee is trying to rotate

Yes, he said that on the pre match interview on RB, because of the 3 games in a week.

Not so sure it is a conscious slow build up but just how SU setup. They make it real difficult to play and toe that cynical/dirty line very well.

Diedhiou is one that just seems to take 4-5 games to get up to speed. Needs the minutes but not sure we see his best until after next international break. Also don’t think Taylor would make a difference this game. His touch is equally bad and not the same goal threat. His dark arts won’t work well against this side imo. They are too crafty themselves.

For as much as he has struggled lately, I can see Pato making a difference but would have be for Eliasson who has been alright imo. Also would get COD at WB for DaSilva who has moments but looks to erratic and inexperienced defending right now. Give it 10 min to see if the HT talk helps but those would be the changes I’d have in the back of my mind. Of course have to be wary of them too but think those moves would not make us worse defensively.
