Looking at the tickets sold on the website- unsure how the Upper Lansdown blocks are sold or are all on sale as per other parts of the ground for this game?

Think in terms of ST and tickets sold, we should be looking at a gate of 25k, let's hope it inspires the lads. Quick breakdown:

  • Dolman- 68 seats unsold.
  • South Stand- Seemingly listed/indicated to be Sold Out.
  • Lansdown Lower- 51 seats unsold.
  • Lansdown Upper- Family Sections- 371 seats unsold.
  • Lansdown Upper, non designated Family Section- 598 seats unsold.
  • Away End- according to @AVFCSupport it is 3,440 tickets allocated and 3,440 tickets sold!

I guess the Villa fans were right all along - we are only going to see the Villa

I would expect the full attendance to be up around the same level against any team who sells out an allocation of around 3,500

Plus its on a Friday night which always attracts more fair-weather fans  and local Saturday footballers

I’m definitely going only to see the villa .

Whos playing at home again  ? Perhaps city should get the atyeo stand and let villa have the rest ?

Can I get a half and half scarf for such a momentous game ?

In fairness there will be some or even quite a few like my neighbours who aren’t Bristolian and are Villa Fans who are going  and  will be sat quietly in the Dolman

I reckon so too- I know some Villa fans, no idea if they're going or not but if Villa score, then some away fans jump up and are hastily escorted out I'll soon have a fair idea I guess. :laughcont:

On a serious note, if Villa fans are to end up in home ends I hope they sit on their hands and draw little attention to themselves. To sit in home ends as an away fan, especially in a group- strong self-control is a must! I wouldn't advise it personally, but if people have done it before and able to pull it off, then they will do it I guess.

I reckon they should rename the South Stand to The Villa

Under cover away fans eh? Probably best to suspect the worst of everybody and anybody sat near you that you don't know by name.

If they aren't up and bouncing at every City shot, punch first and ask questions later.

Tbf the couple next door are really nice and very quiet - not fanatical or jumping up types !

* WhenI get their seat numbers though I’ll post them on here well before the game

Speak for yourself. Same as Leeds, first year they came down it was a bigger attraction but as another season goes by they become less of a big deal.  Would be looking forward to Friday night just as much if it were Birmingham, Ipswich or QPR.

Can you arrange for their names and seat numbers to be announced over the PA system before the game, the look on their faces would be worth the admission by its self.

It is my son's as well.  Only 7 years old so going to be a late night! Need to try to park as close to the ground as I can for a quick getaway! Might get down there for 5pm....

My son is also 7 - had to fight hard with the Mrs to let me take him out so late!  Would never have got away with it on a school night.

Re: parking, I use JustPark to guarantee my spot in advance and ensure I'm a fairly short walk from the ground.
