LJ - pick the side you think is best placed to win v Hull City. Forget Stoke on Saturday, that’ll take care of itself, and we don’t have a midweek game for weeks (28.11 v Ipswich). So play your strongest, best (in your opinion) eleven. Win it an no-one will feel tired for Stoke. Try to cover selections for both games and you give players an excuse. Played ok yesterday but needs to take that into sub appearance. Fam similar. Came on and did more of what you expect of a 5m striker. Carry that into your sub appearances and starts will come. Kelly is so good that he can pass as a LB. Then he moves to CB and you see a star. Plays CB anytime Kalas or Webster out for me. DaSilva unlucky to have Kelly ahead of him but should start EVERY time Kelly can’t play LB. Eliasson adapting to the right side. Ok with him getting more minutes there Watkins/COD not sure if COD is fit so either will do for me. Both will do the work in front of JD. Max as long as Maenpaa is unfit. FF days may be numbered. Great servant but imo a downgrade on NM and Max almost as good if not even at this point. Everyone else keeps their spot on merit. Sometimes Brownhill and Pack can have off games but perspective needed as the often up against 3 in CM. They do a fine job. Walsh on for JB again possibly? Or a striker if we want to see out a lead. Grey Fox Posted October 21, 2018 Report Share Posted October 21, 2018 Really easy to pick the team these days with all of our injuries, we have one goalkeeper ( plus a untried kid) , two full backs, two centre backs ( plus a German who hasn't hardly played since he got here), three central midfielders ( one of which has not played other than 15 minutes or so yesterday all season) three wide players ( if ODowda is still ill) and three forwards. The only question is if Watkins starts ahead of Patterson as far as i can see, or Fam ahead of Taylor? Another question might be, what the @@@@ do we do if a full back gets clobbered? Famara to start against their three at the back maybe. After Tuesday nights games we could be around 13th but a win could see us in 5th or 6th, its that close in the division. Guess we may therefore see Kalas back in, possibly one of the other on the bench? Imagine all three need a little bit of fitness training before they are starting.
