LJ should never have been appointed in the first place.

He would never had got a HC job at any other club in the Championship as his record didn't warrant an interview never mind a job offer.

He is here because of family connections and the fact that he will work within the confines set by the owner.

Those confines won't change, which means that should LJ be fired, not that he will, his replacement will be be similarly inexperienced and only too grateful to get the job.

The strategy is utterly flawed and will only see us leave this league in one direction - SL believes he has a cunning plan to get promoted that goes against all of the expected steps required. He is wrong.

If he truly wanted promotion LJ would have been relieved of his duties some time ago.

#toocosy

 Ran out of likes SR but you are 100% spot on

Pity Clarkson is not into football, just imagine the halftime team talk!

does SL ever read the forum?

he will know the feeling, but will do what he wants as per and what-ever happens; as he pays so its his, not ours, we just use it...or not.

I actually think some of his signings are quite inspired; by no means all I grant you that.

What then seems to happen is that the good ones morph into something rather ordinary and his formations are simply not suited to those players whatsoever and he has no idea how to change and positively effect the game.

I would like this more than once if the option was there, 100 pct agree with though!

Good signings or decent ones- be it in terms of level they joined from or experience have a tendency to stagnate or regress under his management/coaching- and yeah as you formations often unsuited- this especially.

Slow with in-game tactical changes and substitutions to change the game when we are up against it or chasing things.

LJ’s biggest problem imo is setting up the team to stifle whoever we are up against rather than playing to our strengths and letting them worry about us. That’s the reason for all this chopping and changing every week, which could well end up being his downfall. Preston today played exactly how we should be playing, pressuring from the front, before Diedhiou returned Weimann was playing a similar role to Reid last season with Taylor just behind and it was working well, Diedhiou returns now we have no style of play whatsoever, start AW and MT and let them worry about us ffs.

Luv to see the back of him....unfortunately I have not much hope of SL picking anyone better next time........hey wait a minute anyone would be better...wouldn't they?

He should have gone in the middle of our record breaking winless run....it will take more than this for SL to twitch....a couple of months in the bottom 4 might do it...then again:dunno:MOYES IN LJ OUT NOW

I agree. This is sadly turning into a yearly cycle now.

What concerns me is that last season he was going on about the high pressing game and for part of the season we were entertaining, however this season I have no idea what we are trying to do? We get the ball and tip tap to each other in the back four, then we move up the pitch, get to the edge of the box, turn round, head back to defence, tip tap across the back four, run the clock down a bit and then just hoof it to nobody. It’s awful.

Doesn’t matter who he puts in or how they set up the players we have are simply average (at best).

We are going backwards. You see all of these videos of the boys in training and Lee Johnson looking at iPads and then they turn up on the weekend looking devoid of ideas, clueless in the final third, and a CBA attitude.

The 3 transfer windows ended a while back and we are slipping into a relegation battle without the quality to get us out of it.

But we’re building of course and we’ll brush ourselves down in training on Monday and go again.

Short passing is frequently part of high pressing as it allows the team to play further up the pitch and create numerical superiority around the ball. High pressing sides frequently build very patiently from the back.

Lee Johnsons game plans alter by the week. He frequently attempts to match up opponents which means City cannot have an identity,  model of play if they reflect the opposition. Average players well organised, and well prepared can be hard to beat =  It really does matter who he puts in and how they set up, it always matters whether the players are average or not. Confidence, understanding and fluency comes from consistency of approach.

Said from August we'd struggle this season under him as the players he signed were poor and has completely took all the flair away from our side. He's slowly merged into how his Dad was at the end of his reign. Signing some god awful forward players and defenders just knocking it long just for the ball to come back at us. Dread to think what will happen in January if LJ is given the funds. Steve Cotterill was never backed like LJ was in the Championship for City and he has made us in my opinion, worse.
Also, with regards him trying to be clever all the time, well LJ you are not clever. You can have drones, you can have all the technology, all the UEFA qualifications you name it, but your coaching skills certainly are not impressive as many of our players have got worse under him. Last season we had no strikers due to injuries so tried Reid up front, it worked - he was lucky. Unfortunately, luck will eventually run out and he has been found out one too many times now.

Time to go, this club needs a strong leader who knows how he wants his team to set up and play. Sadly though, we all know it would end up being another corporate yes man.

Let's be honest here, what ever we think, he's going nowhere, unfortunately.

SL and his 'vision' is all that matters. The days of 100's of fans behind the Williams / Lansdown stand baying for a sacking have gone.

The bloke, nice as he may be, is ******' useless, but we can't do or say / protest anything.

If this useless **** is still in a job in a month, it would show that our opinion doesn't matter.

Steve / Jon, just sack the useless arse FFS or risk a huge drop in season ticket holders and a total decimation of your 'dream'. I don't want to see 12,000 crowds in our wonderful stadium.

JOHNSON OUT!!

We don’t think we’re entitled to more, we just expect.

You’re right, it’s weird to expect more than that performance, those tactics...

Quite funny to see LJ hotfoot it out and down the tunnel . The man has no stomach to face the fans in defeat but when we win he laps it up like he’s Sir Alex.

Fraudster

He’s got lots of failings but this isn’t one. Whenever we are winning he lets his assistants do the press conferences/ after match interviews. When we lose it’s always him.

Plenty of sticks to beat him with but not this one.

Hopefully the Budget restrictions will extend to the Bingo Balls that Pep uses to select the team.
