Looking to the future but:

Wagner at Huddersfield.

Bielsa at Leeds

Farke at Norwich

Jokanovic at Fulham.

All recruited from abroad and all have done/are doing a good job at championship level.

Please not Moyes, Mccarthy or some other British dinosaur.

And Warnock at Cardiff.

Little Lee is not the one who will take city forward, starting lineup once again gave the team a strong message - he does not know what he is doing - Pack needs a rest and he does not need the burden of The captaincy, we are better without FM, we can’t play to his strength and he useless as a footballer, why is Paterson even on the bench?  he has done nothing in 2018 to deserve a place in the team - we have more deserving players in the junior ranks, we had Walsh on, he Hunt and Jay Desilva were the only ones interested in going forward so in the main they were bypassed by useless long balls to FD! We needed Kelly and Watkins on to wake up the game - we got Paterson???

Our clueless manager blames the players - I wonder who the players don’t rate?

We took ages to get in the championship and employ a rookie

I’d rather someone with experience of the league we are in.

I do know this is unlikely as landsdown wants a puppet

And that is precisely our problem. City are simply a part of SL's vanity project of BS. Old football certainties have gone

Any new manager worth his salt will soon fall out with SL and BS hierarchy

Rubbish look at the last foreign manager we had old Benny he signed  loads of foreign players who were no better than English that they replaced I would much rather have players from our academy playing than loads of mercenary's.

He was a very poor manager, who happened to be foreign.  We need a tactically aware manager who has a plan and a strategy and knows how to set up a team. It doesn't matter if he's from Germany or Barnsley. Just someone who  is not out of their depth.

Deluded if you think McCarthy is a dinosaur, and he ain’t British either....incredible track record....however, perhaps we can claim Warnock is now officially Welsh? That would be a good ‘foreign’ manager to appoint....

have you heard the man speak? clearly from yorkshire.

This incredible track record? When did he last achieve promotion with a team? People have been mocking the suggestion of Moyes when both of their best time are over 5 years ago.

Yeh, Mick has an incredible track record.....in his first year as Millwall manager he took them to third in the championship and into the play offs....in his first season as Sunderland boss he took them into the championship play offs and in his second season he took Sunderland up into the premier league as champions of the championship....he joined Wolves who were in financial turmoil - they had to sell the majority of their first team....but Mick chucked youth team players into the first team alongside free transfers and lower league signings...under those conditions he took Wolves into the championship play offs in his first season, then in his second season with Wolves they finished 7th in the championship and in his third season he took them up into the premier league as champions of the championship....then he kept them in the premier league for three seasons....then under incredibly difficult financial constraints at Ipswich he kept them competitive in the championship for six years, look at them now.....oh, and he took his country to the World Cup Finals as manager and finished the tournament as Europe’s fifth most successful team....to me, that’s an incredible track record.....but you know best....

Actually, your memory is selective- under him- we had some terrible days under him but some bad luck also and a late rally which eventually came to 0.

His start was atrocious to say the least. However do you recall West Brom away? Seemed like we were playing until they scored, 2 points dropped/robbed. Sunderland at home last minute penalty, v the runaway leaders at home- probably deserved better.

Birmingham at home, Mike Dean- this was after we had a late rally through April, phantom penalty to Birmingham and Akinbyi goal disallowed- one was a terrible decision and the moment we all knew we'd drop. 2-0 Port Vale, last min winner at Portsmouth over Easter, 4-1 v Grimsby from goal down and 2-2 at Stockport- again late late equaliser.

Sebok and Tistemetanu while not amazing not awful either. Oh and who gave Phillips his debut? Pretty sure it was Benny.

He wasn't a good manager overall but nobody can say he was lucky either.

But he’s still English just like countless others who have played for Ireland in particular Cascarino who famously didn’t have a drop of Irish blood him

Yeh that Cascarino story made I laugh....all those caps and he was having them on in terms of declaring his nationality....deliberately or not, it was amusing!

We don't hire Managers. We hire Head Coaches, so this idea is dead from the beginning.

LJ seems to have more power than your average head coach, since he seems to have some say in staff and player recruitment, but if LJ were to go I can see Lansdown taking back control and looking to hire someone to build success on a budget, and the colour of your passport isn't going to change much.

A foreign manager would be good, but in my view ANY manager would be good.
