He has grown into the CB role quicker than anticipated and now looks more comfortable there than LB. Play our own where we can. Kelly and Webster is a dream partnership that we are wasting. Both tall and athletic but can play football. We aren’t likely to be pushing for playoffs this season so why not blood the younger group and get them gelling for next season? There is a core of a slick footballing team at this club, whether or not they'll ever be utilised is another thing. Kelly next to Webster, phwoar. Kelly next to Webster, phwoar. Don’t think out squad would be far off the playoff if utilised correctly. I have always thought with a solid 4231 we could perhaps still play like LJ wants to. Two holding midfielders to cover the two wingbacks. Two footballing CBs. Then just have to sort out a front 4 and Eliasson, Brownhill, Paterson, and Weimann are all good starts to the 3 behind the striker. In that perhaps missing a good holding midfielder and striker from being a threat for playoffs imo. Fun to think about but won’t happen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
