Be mindful of the ticket arrangements for buying tickets

I  just noticed that it is too late to get tickets sent out, and now only the Brentford game on Boxing day where those of us that don't live locally can get to the ground to collect the tickets before the Stoke game

Phew thought this was gonna be a railworks post!

For once there are no big works in this area over a bank holiday, the  only planned works are in the Westbury area

On New Years Day trains aren't going through Wolverhampton until after 1200, before then they are being diverted between New Street and Stafford via Nuneaton, which is adding about 20 minutes to the journey

I did wonder that too ?

@Matt Parsons BCFCSLO ?

As there are no collections etc from Stoke surely there is no rush to get the tickets up to Stoke- being held for an additional home game one day later surely makes sense?

I have asked Supporter Services if this is possible. Ill also drop the SLO at Stoke a note to see if they can do collections too.

Phew!

I was worried as we are flying over for this match and had thought it could be something more serious. Good shout though Phantom.

When I say We, it only affects me. My son was born in Stoke and there's no way he wants to sit/stand with me. He'll be sitting with my Stoke City mates. Mind you, now he's just turned 18, he'll be expecting me to buy him a pint!

Any day you don`t have to go through Wolverhampton is a good day IMO.

Have the tickets sold out? I've just tried to purchase some and there is no option to do that. It also says they can't be collected from Stoke on the day so have to be collected from Ashton Gate. I can never understand why football clubs would want to actively discourage fans from attending a game. Especially those like me who don't know weeks and weeks in advance whether they can go.

I plan never to go to Stoke, unless absolutely necessary.

I lived in stoke for a few years, real dump of a place, but great people. It is true what they say, the people with the least are the most generous. A real passion for Stoke and Port Vale as well, you got to feel for Vale fans as it has now been years of a massive chasm between the two clubs. Imagine that Gasheads, :laugh:

The cup game at the Victoria Ground back whenever it was (Tinman scored winner iirc) me n a mate endedup in the home end by mistake....i know i know but we were smashed on a 5 litres of rough we bought for the trip up....anyhow when we realised the error of our ways we thought we had better make ourselves known to a steward ...four of them escorted us down underneath their old stand through the concourse ( if you could call the areas under stands that back in those days) and out onto pitchside and round to the away end.....all the way we were getting abuse and venomous hatred from the locals....i dont like Stoke....

Went there on a soccer special back in div 1 days as well....walked bloody miles from station in a police escort....vowed never to go back after the dissapointment of losing there in Gj prayoffs season....that was THE game we had to get something ....
