CyderInACan
This has just been tweeted by @Matt Parsons BCFCSLO Is this a good idea or not? Opinion on twitter seems to be split. Will it encourage people to report genuine issues or will it just get abused by people in a wind up or, worse, trying to get someone innocent into trouble? nickolas
About as useful as a steward checking coats at the Atyeo end of the Dolman but not at the South Stand end! wtf is wrong with this world. Everyone is so precious nowadays we have to have a text line because someone might get a little frustrated and blurt out some naughty words!! Ffs. CodeRed
About time something was done, last home game some fans near me were singing, then to make it even worse they started giving banter to the away fans.....some were even waving flags. - ffs this must stop - glad Bristol Sport are clamping down

Lympsham Red
The issue with this is going to come down to how it's enforced. Will each report be responded to by a steward who will immediately assume the accused is guilty and so should be ejected without question? Or will there be a period of observation and an assurance that people will be - at least in some of the more borderline cases - innocent until proven guilty? Otherwise, as others have said, this could be a recipe for disaster; hoax reports, as well as widening the rift between fans, stewards, and police. @Matt Parsons BCFCSLO
Bobthedog
This is one of those things thay seems a good idea on paper but will be awful in practice. If stewards and CCTV can’t spot something then we do have issues. I pity the person monitoring the messages. How many texts will they getting asking Downsy to shut up? One Team
FFS. Just when you thought football couldn’t get any more sanitised and diluted we get this. They’ll be monitoring what you think next.
miser
Interesting to see how this is communicated to the average supporter. Twitter is a great medium for those who like to complain incessantly. 999 is already overwhelmed by Muppets.

REBS14
Define anti social behaviour ? Being present at a football match and chanting soon to become anti social. What a very sad and sterile football club we are aspiring to be .

Yes, but don't wash/wipe your head. It may be needed in evidence.
REDOXO
Anti social behaviour is a matter enforced under statute not at the whim of a football club. If someone is a knob tell a steward or copper. And let things take their course before anything negative mentioned about the club gets George Orwelled up to The Controller! Pickle Rick
Don’t you expect they’ll momentarily monitor via CCTV and stewarding any texts received. It is obvious they only want a seat number, along with what the issue is to check it out for the better welfare of others. There have been people sat at screens monitoring Ashton Gate for a fair while. It appears they’re only trying to make improvements, not needlessly ruin your day. Unless unjustified aggro is ironically caused from this, why have a little bitch fit over it? It’s like writing off a new signing before they’ve made their debut... oh wait

Agard Days Night
It won’t be needed anyway. Everyone who sits near me is a) a football genius with more sense than all other fans, managers and players and b) well within their rights to be racist, sexist, homophobic morons. If you can’t be that on a Saturday then it’s just another example of modern football ruining the game.
