FA Cup 4th Round Draw - Bolton (H)

Recommended Posts

Middlesborough v Newport - battle of the transporter bridges

On a plus note winnable tie and 5 all PL ties - that’s opening the draw up

Apparently so.

Expect one will be moved to the Sunday. Probably the rugger I'd bet.

Very happy with that.

At home and winnable, better than traveling away to Boro or Derby.

Would have preferred Gillingham tbh.

With the way the draws working

A non fashionable Club is looking at Semis at least

Just said the same on our Messager group - this looks like a real chance - one I hope we really look to take advantage of.  Winning breeds confidence and as I keep saying - the cup run did us no harm first half of last season!

Not a chance - tickets already on sell and you can’t swap dates really once that has happened

Depends if the egg chasers are on TV I guess - home to Exeter so every chance it is.

Imagine they’ll move the footy as they’ve already issued tickets etc for the rugby

What happens if they go bust before we play them? Do Walsall get reinstated?

With the FA, who knows.

A club was kicked out in the qualifying stages for using an ineligible player.

The team the ineligible player played against weren't reinstated, but the opposition from the next round, even though there were no infractions around that game

And when West Ham played an ineligible player against us they were fined little over half the prize money that they got for beating us.

Ah. Didn't realise tickets on sell for Rugby already.

Sunday afternoon then.

Yes, Cup game v Exeter. Could that be moved, Exeter being more local than Bolton? Have the tickets been sold for this, I’m guessing yes so it won’t be possible

Maybe if we stuff them 6 nil on Saturday they won't bother turning up on 26th.

Can't we just have it so the winner of Saturdays game also goes through to the next round 😂

Seriously? Great chance to progress, that’s what matters surely?

On reflection a home time against beatable opposition with discounted tickets isn't so bad.

I did initially misread it as Bolton away, but was rather hoping for either one of the big teams or someone from a lower division.

Could we make Saturday a double fixture?

Turf would be wrecked. Plus the clean up between games plus the traffic and parking.

No chance.

That’s got to be heavily discounted

With Bolton wanting every penny I can’t see they will agree to this. We are charging them £28 on Saturday, can’t see them bringing many and even less to the cup match, discounts or not

Struggling to think of a worse tie

Loads worse than that. Boro away for one. Winnable and at home - not a disaster at all.

Good chance for you to make the 5th round, good draw really.

Exciting draw for Wednesday if we can get past Luton in the replay. Won't be easy though, especially now Chelsea await the winner.

Maybe we could promise them high tickets prices but actually sell them at lower than normal prices....

We`ll play Friday night I reckon.

We played them away last season on a Friday night, and lost,  let’s get our own back

I thought there has to be 24 hours between the rugby & football being played? I read that last few weeks, when we had a weird kick off time.

that would mean we may have to play later on Sunday, or even Monday?

This Saturday?

You mean 1st half for the League, 2nd half for the cup?

We used to do it in Sunday League when there was a huge fixture backlog towards the end of the season because of all the cancelled matches during the Winter.

Seems sensible to me.
