I believe you only get the saving of the difference between the cost of the season ticket against the price of the adult one off ticket price. Thus if you have the £50 child’s season ticket it’s a saving of a little over £2!

How much would you expect to save..?!

That’s exactly (rightly) how it works out.

does the person you intend to take look over 65?

If they do, use the childs ticket as it will flash green and blue lights for concession - the same as it would for an OAP concession ticket.

If the person is still blessed with devilish good looks than I suggest simply upgrading!

Just get someone to distract the steward on the turnstiles whilst you go through with the child ticket ?

I've used a childs ticket before.

The stewards aren't really paying attention and just walk quickly into a crowd.

IF you get caught the adult (your mate) will be refused entry and the child's season ticket (your child) will be confiscated.

You will then have it sent back to you with a final warning.

Is it worth the risk to save a few quid?

Upgrade and pay the difference.
