Theres a video of a Muppet in a uniform falling over a wall and dropping the dogs lead on the floor, said dog then attacks other dog.

Yep, got that. However a police officer has said a police dog was injured in the 'violence'. The scenario I saw was that a police dog attacked another because of incompetence. So the police officer, @JulieH needs to clarify what she has insinuated. If the dog was attacked by another police dog that is not due to the violence, that is due to some **** wit not looking where they are going and then compounding their clown behaviour by letting go of the dogs lead. And, further, then not being able to control their dog with recall. A bit different to a dog being hurt in violence, don't you think?

I just don't want our club being tarnished with the kind of image that exists 'up the road'.

Good luck with that.

The simple fact is is that 2500 Swansea fans will provide far less trouble than 3600 Swansea fans, the decision by the football club/ police to give them an extra 1100 tickets was naive beyond belief

Fwiw I was told it was to reduce the likelihood of Swansea fans buying tickets in home areas

The stewards, from my vantage point, appear to be paid to do little more than stand in fluorescent jackets.

No coordination. Rabbits in headlights.

Today highlights which tools are the sharpest in the box. More like spoons than knives.

Don’t forget they also get you to unzip your jacket on the way in...........

Is the criticism of police/stewards entirely fair today?

Saw varied footage online and short clips though they were, early on  before police arrived, some of what I assume to be more experienced/senior stewards were putting themselves in the way, shoving people back etc- both between stands and at the front.

They also didn't come up the top of the Dolman and argue that people should be seated, if they did they weren't in A Block- good common sense approach for a game like this I'd say (that said, from the moment that group of Swansea fans arrived late, they had rather more pressing priorities elsewhere)!

Thought the stewards were brilliant in fairness

The only thing embarrassing about to day is grown people fighting over football teams.  If they grew up, maybe the police could concentrate on something more worth while.  Ho Hum, always amazes me that the police get blamed for grown adults not being able to conduct themselves properly in public.

We have had 4 police officers injured today and 1 police dog , and the offenders for that and serious disorder offences should be brought to trial .

The police dog that attacker the injured one in the vid is going in the slammer then, I take it? ?

Julie, I'm not one to knock the police, i know there have been loads of cuts etc which makes things difficult, and I'm at the other end so I may be wrong, but why on earth was there virtually no police presence inside the ground today? From where I was stood poor stewards were left to deal with the morons at the Swansea end.

Because, as per my post on the other thread, the police tend to station a fully geared riot squad in front of the Section 82 corner and stare at our own fans for 90 minutes, making us feel like criminals for standing up and watching a match, being eyeballed for 90 minutes by the ‘authorities’ and causing unnecessary tension.

Stick that riot squad between the home and away section and you prevent this incident.

The cynic in me would suggest that perhaps the ‘authorities’ wanted a reason to make this a bubble match again in future years.

They were in the corner, this would have all been a non issue if the front sections of the atyeo had been blocked off

Those were the same riot police who had to do the police cordon from temple meads and parson street. That's why they weren't in the ground before kick off.

Not getting political but this is a result of police cuts. I'm march 2017 there were only 3021 actual police officers to cover the whole Avon and Somerset force. This has dropped since so at yesterday's game I would say at least 150/200 police officers is a huge amount of the actual total amount not officers.

Completely right though if there were more officers before the game in both corners of Atyeo the trouble would have been handled. Instead it was literally seconds away from a full scale pitch invasion and riot, teams off pitch and probable points deduction.

Bad planning from our safety officer and lack of resources by the police meant an own goal yesterday.

The dog received crush injuries during the escort , in the same incident 2 other officers were injured including a mounted officer .

Out of interest what time did the escort start? In my experience these escorts are meant to annoy you and ensure you miss the start of the match. If the Escort had ensured everyone was in the ground before the game none of this would have happened. At the very least 2 or 3 police would have been stood at the front having been in time.

Approx1330hrs , plenty of time had all of the persons within the escort been intent on getting to the football match .

Very challenging

Any insinuation that the dog was hurt by a football fan needs to quashed. Video evidence suggests the dog was hurt by another dog. Just need confirmation from @JulieH to put this to bed.

I have already answered this, the dog suffered crush injuries during the escort .
