old_eastender
When Taylor won a free kick a few yards outside the box late on yesterday, Palmer was literally pleading with Brownhill to take it, but Josh wanted it. (Josh then dummied to shoot and passed to Palmer who seemed completely surprised and hit well over the bar). Point is we have seen Josh score twice maybe from that sort of FK out of, I would guess, 20 attempts, more often than not he hits the covering wall. We have seen Palmer take 1, from which he cleared the wall and was unlucky to hit the post and see the ball stay out. So maybe LJ should consider making Palmer the designated FK taker for those sort of FKs when he is on?
KevP
The pleading etc was just a cunning plan by Johnson to fool Swansea....
LondonBristolian
I was pretty certain the ball was going to Palmer as soon as he positioned himself where he did. I don’t think he was taken by surprise at all.
Clevedon Red
Tottenham did exactly the same set piece a week ago.
hoxton casual
For me Eliason for close ones as he has the whip to get it up and down. For medium range Pack and Brownhill. Not seen what Palmer is like.

It just bobbled just before it came to Palmer which made his kick go high. Yes it just sat up didn’t it. 42 minutes ago, hoxton casual said: For me Eliason for close ones as he has the whip to get it up and down. For medium range Pack and Brownhill. bcfc01
Paterson isn't too bad either. Point is - we have a few players who can take a free kick. I'm not sure what the stats say but it can't be a very high percentage that go in at this level ?
