Colin doesn't like Gary Lineker

What a bunch of sad keyboard warriors you all are.............Lineker earns too much, Linekers a prat...........Warnocks a disgrace, Warnock's a tosser.  It would be such an interesting social experiment to have GL and NW in a room with 1 or 2 of the brave souls making unsubstaniated comments.............I know that Lineker and Warnock would probably get on just fine, but what would the others contribute to the discussion?  Maybe they could talk about character assassination?

I've said this before and I'll say it again...

On the pitch, NW is an absolute pr1ck. Bad tactics, super aggressive tackles, the whole caboodle.

Off the pitch, the man gave up his career to nurse his cancer stricken wife himself and cried upon hearing his signing had passed away and not afraid to express his grief.

Say what you like about his football managerial career but outside of that world, he has my respect.

Same goes for Holloway. Moron in football, decent human being outside of football.

the point I'm making is that if they didn't pay such ridiculous salaries to people like Linaker it wouldn't be an issue. and why should we be forced to pay for something we neither need nor want it should be optional if you want to watch the BBC you pay and yes on the face of it it's only 3 quid a week but that's not the point.

Personally I think thee BBC is well worth the money if only to keep five minutes of adverts off the telly every ten minutes

It's a forum, you're always going to have people with a variety of opinions.

In all honesty anything I say here or about a person I'd say to their face too but I've always been told I have no filter.

Agree can't stand people who are two faced, call a spade a spade (if you can still say that in these pc times).

I'd agree with Warnock.

Holloway on the other hand in my experience is a complete dick..

This is from personal experience of the two rather than hearing stuff from other people.

Sorry i am not the biggest fan of Holloway but he is a customer of the business i work for and when he comes in he is just a normal bloke and he treats us with respect for the service we provide him.

This i why i like warnock.

Anyone remeber palaces phantom goal about 2010?

He gave a interview after and said, il tell you now if that happened at the other end there would have been a riot!

I also recall mcindoe scoring against palace in the play offs and he clapped.

He got punched going off the pitch that night too.

Unlike mr holloway he didnt press charges.

Lineker Champagne Socialist, give the honesty and passion of Warnock any time

How the BBC allow Lineker to also work on BT Sport is totally  beyond me. Cant imagine my ex Boss allowing me to work for and actively promote the competition  whilst receiving a salary of millions from the BBC. Possibly the BBC's highest paid star!

Vastly overpaid by the BBC as most of the good games are now shown not on Saturday when he hosts the show ,but Sunday or Monday when he doesn't.

It's called talent and personality.........he gets paid well, and is in demand.   Maybe your ex boss didn't feel you were sufficiently in demand?  After all, it is surely all about supply and demand ? Who's gonna turn down money if it's offered?  Not me, but then i probably lack talent and personality...........and um, 80 england caps and 48 goals?

Personality him?

Gary rarely comes across as smug or a preacher.

Intresting fact about all his goals.

They were all tap inns penaltys and scuffed six yard shots for england.

At barcelona, were they trained infront of fans he refused to practise his finishing it was that bad.

Anyone recall him scoring any great goals?

Honesty? The man is one of the most dishonest scummy liars who's ever been involved in the game.

Holloway earnt my respect twice, firstly when as a player after the Donowa derby in 1991 when a few Rovers fans did not honour the minute's silence for Des Williams and Holloway came out afterwards and said he was ashamed to be a Bristol Rovers player that day. (Looking back on it, was his head not in the right place to take the penalty? It was a poor penalty, easily saved.)

Then when he came to Ashton Gate in 1998 as Rovers manager in our promotion season and got played off the park and we won 2-0 (Bell penalty, Goater). After the game he said that City thoroughly deserved their win, though it pained him to say it. I think he has been gracious in defeat to us on other occasions too.
