Imagine spending a weekend in Wolfsburg mind, I've been there once and past through it loads of time, is just a weird concrete homage to Volkswagen, might check out the football though, the fans seem to be pretty decent and follow the clun everywhere though

We didn’t spend the weekend in Wolfsburg - we all stayed in Berlin but travelled to Wolfsburg for the match...

Did Ajax many moons back and wasn't so lively, left after ten minutes to get back to the red light district :D

The 'other' Berlin clubs look mad the more I read about them, had always thought it was pretty much just Hertha.

cheers!

Certainly not just Hertha in Berlin! The 'other' club certainly is 'mad', and proud of it. "Wir sind die Kranken", we sing. "We are the crazy ones!".

There's also another club in the city, but a bit like us with the Gas, we don't like to speak its name. Just call it 'the club from Hohenschoenhausen'. Used to win everything in the DDR. Don't any more. Wonder why?

Has anyone been to Stadio San Paulo in Naples? That is the one I always hear is incredible for old school atmosphere.  Supposedly falling apart but just insane for everything else...despite the running track.

I went there last season for the Manchester City game in the Champions League (Man City won 4-2).

It was actually incredible, huge but reasonable view from everywhere I think. The atmosphere was actually unbelievable. I've been to quite a few grounds but this was out of this world. I felt like my ears were buzzing for the whole time I was in there. I've also been to Dortmund and I enjoyed that a lot (vs Monchengladbach) but it was significantly less intense.

Unfortunately as they have some unsavoury fans we were kept in the ground for 90 minutes and when we got outside there were people waiting for us outside. We were put on buses (while people were throwing rocks and such) and escorted to the other side of the city which took about 50 minutes. We also had to be escorted by the police as soon as we got near the ground because it wasn't deemed safe to walk around the ground, even though no one was wearing Manchester City colours. I didn't actually feel in any danger and I think most of the away fans thought the police were excellent.

Since the start of this season, I’ve been to PEC Zwolle vs Heerenveen (MAC3Park Stadion), Ajax vs Heracles (Johan Cruyff Arena), PSG vs Caen (Parc des Princes), Borussia Dortmund vs Borussia Monchengladbach (Signal Iduna Park) and Bayer Leverkusen vs Hertha Berlin (BayArena).

I think Dortmund was the best in terms of atmosphere and the stadium is just amazing to look at.

In the international break I’m off to Sweden vs Romania (Friends Arena) then back to Amsterdam for Holland vs Germany (Johan Cruyff Arena). Defo looking forward to the Holland game as it’ll likely sell out as well as be a sea of orange!

Also, there’s an app called Groundhopper that you can track where you’ve been, if any of you are on it let me know ?

I'm no ground hopper, I'd say 99% of the grounds I've been to has been with City (105 last count) , the exceptions being Highbury and a couple of lower non League grounds. Add to that most of the grounds I went to were in the 70's, 80's and 90's , there wasn't much in the way of best. I would say for the North bank alone Highbury was up there. Comfy seats , the concourse was like a Mall , the bar all pre poured beer and I even got to see Geno Washington there pre match. I also went in the open end Vs Sunderland , mate (Arsenal fan) was mates with Martin Scott and he got comps. The place was a bit grim, so good stand average ground.
Etihad was ok , I love my trips to watch Braintree and enjoyed my trips to the Boleyn . Fulham has always been good and Portsmouth was good.
I am trying to organise a trip to Goodison before Everton move, and the trip to Ibrox keeps getting pushed back.

Barcelona is a great old stadium but I was amazed at how retro all the facilities were. The food kiosks were like something out of the 70s. For a Champions league team I found it amazing. Still enjoyed the experience though and seeing Messi live was fantastic.

In England I like a bit of fear so Ninian Park, not the new ground, St Andrews and Millwall new or old, take yer pic.

Celtic Park is a beauty, the right mix of modern and yet still retro.

Of course without a shadow of doubt you can't beat Azteca Ashton, a ground fit for the Premiership soon to have a Premiership team!

Bristol Manor Farm @ The Creek is a pretty cool location to watch football in the UK.

Newcastle is the best league away day in the country in terms of stadium and location and experience (as long as you like heights). I do like Preston too, but I have no idea why.

Went to a preseason friendly at BMF a few years back. First half red card for the opposition for a head butt I think. Bonkers. 4-2. Couple of wonder goals.

Anyone been to Forest Green? Looking to try and get that and Newport done within the weeks when I'm back, whats your opinion of it for an away day?

Yep I went to both Forest Green and Newport last season (in my search of the 92, my boyfriend completed it last season).

I went to Forest Green vs Cheltenham. It was really cold but enjoyable. I like how they are run and it was a reasonable ground. A bit out of the way though and it was freezing, and no meat on site. They play pretty attacking exciting football so it should be an enjoyable game if you watch.

They may have no meat, but the foods amazing. The whole clubhouse thing in the main stand before/after is great
