BS4 on Tour...
Huddersfield away in the late eighties.....we hit the post a couple of times in that game, in the snow at their old Leeds Road ground ....would have thought we’d hit the wood (metal) work in more than 17 games to be fair.... Mr Popodopolous
16 this season- think @Ian M has it right., However the trend is that it seems to be reducing which means one of two things- our finishing is getting better (good) or we are creating less chances, hence hitting it less often (bad). I'm fairly sure it is the former which is undoubtedly positive!

wendyredredrobin
Hitting the woodwork is just one of those things. Sometimes it happens to you and sometimes against you. It evens out over time, just like dodgy penalties. Not everything evens out though. The gap is over 18 years old and no sign of it closing this century

elhombrecito
Never understood the fuss about hitting the woodwork. It's not unlucky, it's simply a player failing to hit the target.

Mr Popodopolous
I believe we have conceded 6 strikes against the woodwork this season. Reckon it has cost us overall in terms of 2-3 points if we take in struck vs conceded woodwork strikes, but it's impossible to say really as goals change games. To someone who said it'd even out...will take some riding of our luck to start to do so!
