I thought Bailey Wright was excellent today.

Guess Pisano was just rested, having only recently returned to being match fit.

He was. Not a natural going forward but at least competent, and good defensively. Top man to have in the squad for versatility and leadership I'd imagine.

LJ said in the Pre-Wolves press conference that Weimann and one other of our players was an injury doubt for Wolves, though he did not want to say who at the time. Probably Pisano, looking back at it.

Wasn't it Pack, they kept saying on TV that he wasn't fit to do 90 mins.

Yeah you are right, just listened to LJ post match, and he said that Pack had had 5 stiches down his Achilles and had not trained all week. Bailey Wright just came in as club captain, and there wasn't any injury to Pisano.

Pisano - proper full back.

Should be one of the first on the team sheet imo.

Hope he is back for the Norwich game.

No reflection on Wright, just think that a career full back should be in the team rather than a CB doing a decent job.

For me it can depend- if we play 4 centre backs or 2 centre backs with 2 full backs who can come inside- think last season Wright, Baker, Flint, Magnússon- then that type of formation can be quite useful having Wright as RB, if we want to be really compact. The Wright-Brownhill right side- both able to come inside- was a key aspect of that. The equivalent this year would be Wright, Kalas, Webster, Kelly.

In the current system though, with Da Silva being an orthodox and attacking LB, yeah Pisano at this time may well be the better fit.
