HT 1-2.  Overall really good display, have had to soak up some Norwich pressure but have taken the game to them whenever possible. Bailey Wright needs to come off at HT, their winger is beating him every time which is where their goal came from. Wiemann been very quiet, Brownhill given the ball away 2 or 3 times leading to Norwich breaks but everybody else right on it.

Breathless half.

Thought we started really energetically - pressing well, being niggly and frustrating - Norwich didn't really trouble us and it was a good intercept in their half by Weimann IIRC who passed quickly to famara, who threaded in Pato perfectly in space and he finished well.

Norwich started getting in the game and a couple of crosses got the crowd going - they really hit us down our right, Hernandez a real handful, who set up a great chance that Pukki scuffed wide - warning signs were there and it was Hernandez, again fed early out wide who was stood off and off waltz into the box, found Pukki who laid it off to McClean to curl in.

Despite their pressure we had looked good on the break and the response instant - COD dribbling from the half way line, jumping riding several challenges, looked like he'd run up and blind alley before some excellent footwork on the box bought him a yard of space and he slammed it into the bottom corner from just inside the box - cracking goal.

Norwich finished the half on top with some corners, but we looked solid, Webster in particular with some good clearances.

Need to keep the energy up and tighten in on Hernandez , but a good first half. Feel there could be some hanging on in the second half, especially if we are still up - at least Frankie won't be in the sun.

******* hell. You want your team to be fighting near the top of the table every season but a mid-table battle is a lot better for your health. Checked my heart rate just before half time and it was a 120bpm. If you don't hear from me in the next hour or so, call St John's Ambulance.

Looks like we are playing a high line to try to compress the space, but it means that if they do get their heads up with a bit of time that they can launch over Wright's head to Onel Hernandez.

Wright is struggling to cope with him. He’s a lively player and nothing against Bailey but he’s not a right back as we all know.
