Got to be this for me.. If there was a still of CW's goal, I don't think I've ever seen one. I was stood on a metal stool my dad made for me, lent against the old white washed walls of the tunnel on the RHS as we look at it. Just glad I was there TBH.

Maybe, just maybe we can do it again one day soon.

Here you go, Ska Junkie! I was there for Clive's goal. The picture is very faded now but my memory of the day remains very vivid. Let's hope we do see the day again!

Nice one RobC, that's now the iconic one as far as I'm concerned! Always wanted a picture of that moment.

One day fella, one day.

I think the smile say cheese flag belonged to jasper

I remember that flag at Eastville on the Good Friday the season we went up to the top flight, about 10,000 City fans on the Muller Toad end

These 2. First is me in my Umbro shirt from all those years ago and the other is the boy in the Cottage a couple of years ago.

We go whenever we can and together have seen all of the most recent highlights.

Having him with me makes it all the more worthwhile. Win or lose.

And although he hasn’t seen it yet he now has both home and away Umbro shirts to hang on his wall. Along with all the other “football shit” that my current wife calls it ?

I know this sounds stupid but how do I send you a personal email with my email address? Don’t really want to ask my stroppy kids for help ?

In the direct message I sent you, reply to it and include your email address in the reply. Then I’ll email you off OTIB ha ha

I think when city beat leeds in the cup in the 70s, a city player was the first footballer to be pictured in one of the posher newspapers that didnt cover sport.

Yes - the Gillies goal was the first football photo on the front page of the Times. I still have a copy!

My favourite is the one of Marcelo Bielsa head bowed, whilst Lee Johnson is running down the touchline. In the distance, Leeds defenders are on their knees, and Antoine Semenyo is being mobbed by his teammates in front of a joyous South Stand...

Yep! This all day long for me. Such an amazing day. Already represents a ‘by gone era’ to me as well - going to the football was so so different - even then - and that day encapsulates that for me. Helps that we won of course!

The day had everything. Arriving at Cardiff central to be greated by hundreds of Cardiff fans trying to get at us being held back by OB. Sent straight to first great western pub. Decent sing song while Cardiff fans trying to get in! The escort to the ground. Never seen anything like it! Surrounded by police with men, women and even children coming out of there houses to shout abuse at us haha! Then even going 1-0 down made the day imo! The place was going absolutely crazy fair play was a cracking atmosphere! Then them thinking they’d scored a 2nd only it to roll across the line and come out!! Then that crazy 7-9 minutes! I know we ended up bottling promotion but that 9 minutes will live with me forever! That away end was going absolutely mental! They were stunned into silence! Then the escort back to station ?

WHAT A DAY!!!
