Erithacus
Don't know if this has been covered elsewhere, but North Ferriby United have been officially wound up yesterday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47585863 Shame that a 'little' club has gone this way and all over a sum of less than £8k - the size of which some pro clubs will get through in prawn sandwiches of a matchday. BS15_RED
£8k? Surely the supporters could of raised that easily?
REDLEE
Didn't Windass once play for them? Surely he could have helped with his Chasers appearance money. On a serious note though, always sad to see these clubs go under.

The problem is that £8k is probably the tip of the iceberg. You raise that then in six months time you face a winding up order for another £10k or whatever. I don’t disagree, but lots of times when clubs are on the brink of bankruptcy they manage to raise sufficient funds to keep going until the end of the season. It just seems that £8k is not an insurmountable amout to of raised to of kept them alive and kicking.

Stupid that some footballers will earn half that in an hour or so.

Up The City!
We held a charity game there once. Lovely little stadium in a lovely area and the staff were amazing. Very sad about this.
