Are you havin' a laugh?

Got anymore tricks up yer 'sleeves'?

£12 for a box of Milk Tray with a red BCFC  ' happy mothers day ' sleeve on it .. TWELVE QUID!

('HAPPY? ffs most mums would more likely be 'LIVID' if their kids wasted so much money getting ripped off on something like that!.... erm, wouldn't they?)

Some Marsh Mallows & a Galaxy hot chocolate sachet with a 'Mum' Mug …. £15 (fifteen quid!! really?)  Mugs for Mugs innit!

I really wish this is an April Fools Joke … rather than cynical exploitation of young fans loyalty and love for their mums ..

Expensive, yes.

But I have the perfect solution to finding something for sale that I don’t want to purchase...!

For just £15 I will share my secrets for not wasting money unnecessarily. PM me for details.

£3 (three quid at Tesco / Asda and leading supermarkets) 360g Milk Tray.

£12 (twelve quid at BCFC ) 360g Milk Tray  - with a RED SLEEVE … bargain!

(tip kids, get mum some chocolates from a shop, and make your own paper sleeve to go round the box with a personalised message to mum.  Save £9 for some flowers for mum and a bar of chocolate for yourselves! & Have a Great Mothers Day ?)

I agree, or my usual approach to this sort of commercialism is to say love your Mum and show her you care ( if you are lucky enough to have one) every day of the year.

I’m not overly concerned this sort of stuff is in the shop as we can just refuse to buy it and it can be left on the shelves. I am concerned though that someone thought it was the sort of thing people would want and would pay for and that it was a good idea. How out of touch are they, that’s what worries me.

Whilst not condoning the price I think its slightly unfair to compare with Asda and Tesco, a vast majority of shops would not be able to match their prices.

They have bigger budgets than us and we can’t really hope to compete on a regular basis.

We just need to make sure that our chocolate is better than their chocolate on Mother’s day  when anything can happen.

We need to get as many in the box as possible to make it difficult for them.

We hope to have a celebration and no unpleasantness which mars the occasion.

Careful Port! I'm a fellow grammar Nazi (lovely term) and appreciate your post, but the disgruntled dyslexics in the forum will kick off like it's our fault they can't spell!

The paint completely washed off mine within a year of being in the garden

You must've bought an Ayling … these gnones are for life not just for Christmas, they're so clever... It wasn't the paint washing off it was simply a change of kit to white, reflecting the transfer to Leeds.

Brilliant value for money !

PS... I'm sure anyone who bought a Joe Bryan one can confirm this, what more proof would anyone need?  ?

Retailer costs they may lose 50p on the prices vs big retailer costs yes, but £9 more? Absolutely not.
