I'm not going to complain about not being consulted. I knew there was a consultation process. Still think the bad is shyte tho. Just dont understand whats wrong with the original robin badge. Why do we have to commericlise it??

Because, like it or not, football (sport in general) is now very commercialised.

Its actually quite surprising how many clubs have changed/modernised their traditional badge over the past few years.

Mr Bar BS3.

82.7% say nay.

That's a point about consultation.

The one the thread is about.

And the one you avoid.

You've been posting about strap ons.

That's more than a wind up.

Rather not picture that sketch thank you.

This poll is about consultation, not how people feel about the new badge. The poll that asks that shows results of less than 1 in 4 people not liking it.

I dont think a club like ours needs to be commericalised. Our fans are often very different from your man utd, liverpool fans etc

Theres more of actual connection and we should concentrate on being authentic. Thats our strength in my opinion.

How better to promote authenticity than by involving fans thoroughly in what is supposed to be our badge?

A redesign would not please everybody but by having a clear process that was fan centred it would be more likely to promote buy in via its engagement. Supporter engagement would be part of the badges USP's - Designed with fans.

Easy chance and win here shanked over the bar.

I’ve not read the whole of the discussion on various threads so appologies if previously mentioned, but the badge is quite a lot like the Supporters Club and Trust badge, (someone please put it on here for me I can’t work out how,). Was there input from them perhaps?

The club could/should have drawn up a sortlist of posside designs and asked fans to vote the one they liked best but they didn’t.........and it’s too late now so no point whinging about it.

Whilst I agree we all know the most hideous badge gets voted for by non City fans for obvious reasons.

True. I don’t think that changes because of the design of a badge though.

clicking on the no vote reveals a rep for the supporter club and trust.  this fans focus group is a mystery on otib.

Can ANYONE who voted "YES" PLEASE confirm whether they mean the survey that was sent about last year or they were ACTUALLY part of this "focus group"?

ANYONE?

I did.

I just don't like the new logo. It's not a badge that represents the club or the city, it's a corporate graphic which will look great on emails and training wear.

I'm interested as to which demographic the new badge is supposed to appeal to? The arrogance of the people in charge of this club never fails to surprise me.

Outstanding New Logo...............Lovin it.  I think i might now move on to some new more important issues.....wouldn't want to obsess too much about such a trivial matter?
