I think boro will , as a Pulis team, draw too many of their remaining matches, whilst Derby are remarkably like us last year, there form has been poor for some time now, and i could see them sinking to mid table. As to City, clearly we miss a 20 goal a season striker, but we do have a squad with depth and also , unlike Derby and boro the ability to change systems quickly when plan A isn't working. Anyway, back to the support tights, do they do them in a fishnet style ? They’re buggers to get off .

AberRed
So we'll probably need about 20 more points to make the play offs. 25 to be sure. Looking at the fixture list that's possible but we would probably need some good results vs other contenders.

But if we take 74 points as the target, I can't see any of Forest, Brum or Hull, all currently on 50, achieving that. They would need 8 wins from 11 games remaining (or equiv). None of them look capable of a run like that. I don't want Wednesday to win tonight or I fear they could have a Brucey bonus run in them. Derby, on paper, have a good chance. But on form, you'd have to seriously doubt it. They need 7 wins and 2 draws from 12 games. They do have 4 home games on the bounce coming so that could get them the start, and momentum, they need. Then us, needing 20 points... That's 6 wins and 2 draws from 12 games. Or more likely, 5 wins and 5 draws. Current conclusion? That no teams outside of the top 5 will reach 74 points. BigAl&Toby
9 left. 27 points available. We’ll get the lot. Finish on 85 and in second place and go up with Norwich. It starts tonight. I’m predicting a 1-0 win. OG off Aden’s backside in the 93rd minute. FD tries hard all night. There’s a last ditch corner. Max is up. Everyone is in Middlesborough’s penalty area. Josh hoofs the ball in. It’s overhit.... FD is in the air.... He scuffs his acrobatic effort.... Aden is there. His tattooed arms sinewed as he tries to head the bell clear...... But **** me. It’s hit his ass. And slowly trickles over the line. 200 lunatics in Red go bananas. Pulis goes ape shit....... Hang on. What’s that? I’ve been dreaming darling? It’s time to get up? Have I been dreaming......
