Why wouldn't the League 2 final be on the same weekend as League 1 and Championship? And I thought that in a Euro/WC year, the Championship final was always played first? ?

EFL produce the Championship fixtures whilst the Premier fixtures are prepared by Sky Sports. Sky likes to have a separate release day to start their pre season hype.

Not true, a company called Atos compiles the fixtures for both leagues and has done for over 20 years

I imagine the sole reason that the Premier dates are released a week before is so that they can milk as much publicity and hype as they can

Exactly two separate release dates enable each league to maximise their publicity ...

Due to the Balloon Fiesta, we'll be at home first game and home on Boxing Day - Again! I know some won't care but it seems to be a long time since BRFC had a home game on Boxing Day. Not fair on them, is it? And I'd like a Boxing Day off now and again.

It also usually means that we get minimal number of midweek home games with most after Christmas. This is due to having first game at home and the "International Break" factor.

End of rant!
