Bristol City v Reading Match Day 42

We have played worse first half’s at home this season in fairness. Shaded it, been ok, nothing special, possibly done enough to be ahead but not by much. Equally Reading look like they can nick one, so hoping it clicks in the s3cond half.

Quite something from Reading.

No team ever sets up to lose, so the kindest thing you can say is they would be ‘happy with a point’.

Very hard to break down teams who set up this.

There is no quality in their side.

That quite isn’t true. They have created a couple of chances on the break with a clear game plan. The one that went across the face was very close. O’Leary also made a decent save - although it was a City error that helped them get the chance.

I agree that we struggle to breakdown sides at home though. But we should have scored so all is not lost - a goal would really open it up.

Exactly what I've been saying. And how we are setting up is playing right into their hands

Johnson is being overly cautious here. To narrow because he knows that it is unlikely they will break us down unless we make a real bad mistake.

Fortune favours the brave . A point isn't good enough today.  Physiologically a draw here will only serve to inspire and ease the pressure on Boro and Derby at 3pm .

Get some width down the right and let's open this game up

To narrow. This is so frustrating to watch .

Reading really are there for the taking....but we have no width down the right.

We always revert to going down the left.....have done it all season.....there have been at least 2 chances to break clearly down the right and the CBs have opted left......
