Just reading bath rugby are looking for a temporary home whilst there new ground is being built. I reckon they will play at the minimal ground. Which would be quite ironic. And then when there stadium is built. Rovers will upsticks AGAIN. And move in with Bath . All hypothetical of course

there was an outside chance that Bath were to play at the County Ground as an interim measure a few years ago. The Mem was never mentioned, but there again, Bristol Rugby and the Gas were sharing The Mem at the time

County ground Swindon maybe. Wouldn't put it past them asking Bristol Sport and then BS juggling three teams on that pitch.

if the surface stands up to it....Bristol Sport will consider it all as extra money. It'll be quite some juggle though. Swindon would welcome the extra cash, but I cant see any other place being a good enough size tbh. The Rec has a bigger capacity than The Mem, so doubt they'd consider it a reasonable deal. IIRC Swindon were more than happy to roll out the welcome mat

Agree.

As a Bristol rugby fan though I would not want to give them fuckall, as we might actually be competing at either end of the table against each other, so whatever disadvantaged them would be fine by me.

BS wouldn't see it that way of course because they don't understand.

Swindon would be the best bet. Obviously a bigger and better stadium than the Mem plus Bath get a lot of their support from Wiltshire.

I think you're being a little naive here Bob.

In the world of football one does not simply "buy" a large screen TV as you or I would.  Of course you don't.

What you have to do is to go through a full process of exploring your options, getting some quotes, and putting your £250k a year London office on the case to seek out possible investment partners for the purchase.

These things take time, the process can end up being as long as the grass growing at The Colony.

They should be able to locate it, just listen out for the groans from the porn playing on it.

Can see it now, Sags welcome Bath with open arms until their stadium is complete, then it’ll be ‘can you return the favour whilst we clean the carpets at our place again?’, then once the fewers set foot in the new Rec they’ll do whatever it takes to stay.

I’d imagine they are all excited about this large screen because they are hoping to have a live feed of our games on instead of the score just flashing up everytime we concede.

I actually (honestly) finally switched up to a TV larger than my old 32 inch today.  The old ones looking for a home, it’s a Sony flatscreen so if they’d like to send someone to pick it up that’d be great.

Would suit the men as it’s not ‘smart’.

Just before they get excited, I live in Worthing, although I’m sure it’s worth the trip.

Exactly as it should be since the EFL turned this comp into a farce.  Well done to all those who boycotted the game tonight.

Agreed, but what’s your excuse for home league fixtures? Loyal n True and all that.

....and away fixtures in the league....seems to be some sort of boycott going on there too...must be a boycott because they are the ‘bestest most loyal fans in the world, everyone loves them and hates da shit...’

Before Robbored starts up the mini bus to pick it up, theres just a couple of things that need to be checked before making the journey and accepting your kind offer....

(a) Does the TV have a scart socket ?  … they need one to connect their VHS player/recorder to it (unless anyone has an adaptor plug they can donate? )

(b)  Will the TV work off a 12volt car battery via a cable with two crocodile clips and a loop aerial?  - as it will be sited in a tent.

Oh,  its great that its free to collector, but Worthing is fair old trek from Whorefield and the mini bus/van is a bit thirsty, so any fuel you can chip in for will be much appreciated - afterall the Gas will be taking it off your hands for you.
