42nite
Blimey Steve....nice one! When they realise it won't work without a remote, how much are you planning to charge them for that? And how long will they have to wait for delivery? The gift. Really? There's a difference between having a laugh at our neighbours (which is what this thread is for) and purposefully being rude to one of them for the sole reason that he's a rovers fan.... It’s not great service to be fair to them even if it is funny . October ? Not like them to let something drag out . These amateur clubs do a great job don’t they ? I would love to know, genuinely, if Wally knew that the company was Lansdowns. Probably not, which is hilarious... as he made possibly the single biggest stadium improvement purchase of his tenure, and paid money to our owners company..! Also it’s not really fair to blame any company for failing to clarify if a professional football club actually had a stand that they could fix the screen too...! Bar BS3
How it’s supposed to be done...! BIG SCREENS ARRIVE AT ASHTON GATE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH 2016 Installation of two state-of-the-art full HD screens has begun at the stadium. Both twice the size of the Sports Bar & Grill screen, one will be fitted above the Heineken Lounge and the other in the Atyeo-Dolman corner. Provided by LG, the screens provide 140o viewing angles, which means fans will be able to watch the screens in full quality from any seat in the stadium. PrevNext Manufactured in Korea, the engineers who created it are making a special journey over to Bristol to configure the screens which has only ever been done once before at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium. The screens will be able to offer 281 trillion colours with ultra-bright technology, so fans can experience the full quality of the screens in any weather, day or night. The two screens will be housed in a bespoke structure made just for Ashton Gate. Completion of the first screen, above the Heineken Lounge, is scheduled for the end of September with the Atyeo-Dolman corner screen ready for the end of October. Completion of the first screen, above the Heineken Lounge, is scheduled for the end of September with the Atyeo-Dolman corner screen ready for the end of October. I’ve just noticed that our article was posted on 16th September and includes pictures of most of the “bracket” already up. It then goes on to say that that that screen should be up and running by the end of September. So it took around THREE WEEKS to install one of our screens, into a state of the art new stand. How the hell did Rovers think that giving themselves ONE WEEK to install theirs, which had already been proving a logistical problem, since taking delivery of the screen 6 months ago, was going to be sufficient time to get it up and ready in time for this weekend..?! Eddie Hitler
Piss Up in a Brewery Update Bristol Rovers are disappointed to announce that there has been a further delay to the planned piss up in a brewery, meaning it will not be happening after tomorrow’s game. As previously stated the club purchased several thousand pint glasses in July last year from Pissup Solutions, a leading corporate entertainment agency that specialises in piss ups in breweries, with the aim of having the piss up next to the Brunel sponsored South Stand by the end of 2018. Although the glasses were delivered on time in October, due to the size of many supporters a special bespoke seating structure was required to meet health and safety regulations at the stadium. Unfortunately, the unique nature of this structure led to various complications with Pissup Solutions’ sub-contractor, resulting in subsequent delays with installation. Work started this week, ahead of the new proposed piss up date of this weekend. However, the contractors have experienced further unforeseen issues on site which has delayed installation slightly. The team has been working tirelessly to fix the problems encountered but unfortunately the seating will not be installed and operational in time for tomorrow’s game which is hugely disappointing. Work will continue next week and completed as soon as it possible. We apologise for the further inconvenience and would like to thank all supporters and piss up sponsor Brunel Professions for their continued patience. https://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2019/april/12.4.19-pissup-statement/

Rudolf Hucker
I hope that Steve is including Stadia Solutions under the Bristol Sport banner. When it's eventually installed, I'd love for the Bristol Sport logo to be emblazoned at the bottom of their screen; it'd burn out the eyes of the fewers. 1
Admin Maesknoll Red Posted April 13, 2019 Admin Report Share Posted April 13, 2019 I’m not sure this is all part of a plan, it sounds to me like a very junior staff member of Stadia Solutions has been duped into selling the sags this screen. A tented throwback to the 50’s doesn’t qualify as a stadia, surely. Would you, if you were the proprietor of a business providing bespoke solutions to iconic stadia, really want this on your client portfolio. There could be a P45 in the offing now this has become public knowledge, imagine the reputational damage incurred by dealing with that shambles.
