But as others have said, I'm sure the rovers board of directors will have other plans for that money, and probably will not be in the best of the football club, or its fans. Sainsburys have brought this case against Rovers and are not the defendant and thereore surely the judge shouldnt award any compensation against them at this time. Or am I wrong? I'd imagine if they lose then they'll lose on a point of law meaning the contract isn't enforceable so no compensation would be payable. Is that a contracted amount of compensation, a likely amount or just wishful thinking? Wishful thinking at best. They've plucked that figure out their asses in both hope and desperation. I doubt there would be enough left over to cover one season's losses, let alone buy a new set of plastic garden chairs from B&Q...
