Unbelievably desperate for RB to blame Xmas for a low crowd a full month before the day! I must have missed it but did Dopey get bolloxed in a Gloucester Rd boozer after the game and demand that the local Stevenage paper "print that b@stard?".....

And did the Crawley paper "print that b@stard" too?! Or did the Chesham rag beat them to it?!

They are really good captures of the game and atmosphere; would be great if there was a City equivalent.

Goodnight Irene is as dreary as ever; what a rubbish song to pick as your club song.

His videos are great, especially after a loss. Have to credit the lad for following them up and down the country most weeks too.

I'll give the saggy credit for doing his blogs, no one (as far as I know does the same at our place??).

I assume he's doing some sort of 'media' thing at college. If he is. the occasional 'oh **** they've scored' probably isn't the best advert for his 'skills.

As for the 'Let's all do the steward', really?  As the blogger says ' we were brilliant in the 2nd half' yet they spent most of it joking with the steward? I would have been watching the cough 'brilliant' football myself. Actually, I wouldn't as it's the r**ers and I would rather have teeth pulled than watch them!

Is there an easy way to drill down to the reasons for the banning orders?  I wouldn't mind betting most at BCFC are for things most people would be surprised actually warrant an order at all.

Looking at the Hedllu in an intimidating manner? Being English in Cardiff without a permit? Saying `ouch` when being hit by a baton? Getting off a train at Bristol Temple Meads having spent a day in Cardiff?

Take your pick.

Whilst the sags are panicking over what it means to their future now that the minimal has been designated an Asset of Community Value, the ever so knowledgeable Finnish Gas came up with ...

"At least we have the consolation that no-one in Bristol (including the Greens) thinks Ashton Gate is an Asset of Community Value."

http://gaschat.co.uk/post/135232/thread

Let me just Google that for you  .... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Ashton+Gate+is+an+Asset+of+Community+Value

Aww, poor bastard. He can't even have the 'consolation' that their ground has got a title that Ashton Gate supposedly hasn't.

Nick Higgs on the Stadium at last night's Supporters Club AGM: The hearing at the Court of Appeal is about holding Sainsbury's to the original terms of the contract, £30.05 million. It is not about compensation although he did add the club will be seeking an extra £5 million to compensate them for delays, rising costs etc. The hearing will be heard by a panel of three judges who will listen to the solicitors arguments. If we win Sainsbury's do technically have the right to appeal to the Supreme Court or the European Court of Human Rights but they are not certain to get a hearing and probably wouldn't go that far because of the negative PR. Interestingly he added that there around 20-30 other organisations who are suffering from a Sainsbury's change of mind who are waiting to see how our appeal goes before commencing their own action against them.

Following the Rovers supporters club AGM it has been announced that revised UWE Stadium plans include a 100 foot statue of Nicholas outside the main gate.

I am not sure whether there will also be 100 hands, 100 elbows or 100 other parts of his anatomy but, if built to scale, the statue will be 100 feet wide and therefore the biggest pre-crass structure in the South West of England.

A fair bit of nonsense in there. ECHR - probably want a human rights issue then. Supreme Court would seem the last step.

'It wont go that far because of negative PR'... What with 20-30 litigants supposedly preparing their own action and this one instance being a £30m+ issue? As if. Besides if there's 20-30 others looking in to this as claimants you can bet there are a number of interested companies watching who are in Sainsburys position who may want to support them and see them win.

Before the AGM, NH arrived and came straight over to three of us and had a wide ranging discussion and answered all the questions we asked, we did not ask him the questions we had prepared. After the AGM he came up to me and spent about 10 mins answering some more questions, nothing appeared to be off limits. He said:-

1 – The MSP loan is not being repaid in instalments. The interest is being added to the capital sum and will be repaid at the latest by the third quarter day of 2016 which I take to be 29th September 2016. So you work out the total cost, £2.6m @ 1.2% per month over a maximum period of 21 months. He did say that if the sale of The Mem went through earlier it would be repaid immediately and the balance of the sale would be used to build UWE.

2 – The takeover/consortium talks are advanced and going well. I have no idea if the investors NH is talking about is the Consortium that several of us have been talking about. They may be or maybe not separate entities.

3 – As and when the investment/takeover takes place he did say that although he wasn’t sure, he didn’t believe any shares would be available to fans. I find that difficult to accept if true, as it would bar fans from buying shares and attending any AGM. Also, BRSC would have no stake in BRFC.

4 – The funding will be in place, no matter what decision is made by the Appeal Court AND that the stadium will be for 21,700 as originally planned and fully fitted out

5 – He indicated that as and when the talks are successfully concluded, that a start date for building UWE could be between February and June 2016. The first date seems very ambitious, even if an investment/takeover is completed by the end of December 2015. I have said many times, quoting dates is a nonsense as it tends to “bit you on the bum” when the date quoted fails to materialise.

6 – We asked “what if two offers are received and they both met the financial requirements, ie £40+ million in a bank account acceptable to BRFC, would an EGM be called to enable Shareholders to consider both offers and give their views?”. NH said not necessarily. I found this answer amazing, yes NH holds around 54% of the voting shares so will always win in a “card vote”. However does he not owe a duty to all the Shareholders to let them know what has been offered and for them to have their say. NH seems to think not.

I think that covers everything else.

Takeover talks are going well?! I though he denied it very recently?!

So not only did they have to shun (or were shunned by?) conventional lenders, they are now seemingly paying interest on interest on a loan of an amount which is tiny in footballing terms.

Consider that they are seemingly taking an expensive approach to this loan alongside only 2 players signed up for next year...
