We're on site at the club's new training ground, full update coming later!

The welcoming committee for the latest shipping container delivery for their state of the art changing room and treatment room, the bloke on the far right has donated a blackboard, chalk and a betamax video player and the bloke in the middle is in charge of pitches for tents.

They are getting a tad excited that the 'gap' is now closing... staying in their shed of a stadium with some extra patio, bought a muddy field with nothing actually built yet compared to a £45M revamped stadium, top class training facilities, youth academy and so on..

Yes that gap is shrinking isn't it?! And they refer to Failand as Fail Land, those geniuses

it already is prepared for the first team

Well, they're all getting very excited about a field.

Talk of 4G pitches, indoor pitches, Cat2 Academy etc etc.

If they have a spare 10m I'm sure they can get all that in place.

IF.

£10million.

They will get that for Matty Taylor, won't they..?!

I agree with you, to a point....

You've got to obtain planning permission which is never guaranteed (Ashton Vale anyone?) and genuinely good luck on getting that on green belt land with notoriously NIMBY residents in that area.

Oh and there's the small matter of building the facility which isn't cheap.

The final question is, how is Wael planning to fund this? Seriously tell me How?

The site already has planning permission for sports pitches, floodlighting, changing facilities, car parking etc. Presumably the Al Qadis have a method for funding it, as sitting in the green belt it probably has little chance of being sold for housing.

Genuine question, why do you presume they have funding for it? Given the huge lack of funding since they've bought the club.

Lack of funding..?

Do you have any idea how much 6 new sprinklers, a canopy over 300 second hand seats and a new door way cover cost these days...?!
