(subject to a successful pay day loan application coming good).  The mysterious 'man with a plan is confident the relocated stand will be in place well before planning deadlines come into play and will satisfy all planning requirements .... (we await developments on the progress on this dastardly plan with interest said a stunned spokesman for Shedman .. who simply said  '' What the F * * * !!! "

With an army of groundworkers (see below) already on standby to go at a moments notice the Gas 'man with a plan' feels everything is absolutely on schedule and there really is no panic in the camp, that's just down to 'scaremongering shitheads' he reassured the Gas faithful.  Everything is under control..

I truly hope we get everything we wish for from Wael and his family 
Not sure if it has ever been mentioned on here before but how much did he buy the club for?
Also has anyone worked out if he has actually used any of his own money yet on the club, over and above what we have received in transfers and cup receipts etc bearing in mind we have approx 10 million in land/stadium value etc. 
When it's 100% clear he is investing his own money in this process I will be able to sleep more soundly at night.

They are getting sold so far up the river without a paddle its almost embarrassing. Funny for us mind but for them embarrassing. And whats funnier is they cant see it. I predict further hillarity and giggles to come eminating from the cabbage patch.

The question is how high can the counting go ?

Rovers lost 865K in 2016 and also wrote off 2.3 million  UWE stadium costs which were previously capitalised. But the loss figure includes 607K put back into the P & L due to waiving interest owing to the previous owners which is a "one off" so if that is discounted the true operating loss for 2016 would be 1.47 million. This years interest payable to Dwane Sports on their 10.0 million credit facility, compared to that payable to MSP Capital on their 2.7 million loan, may add around 200K and if other expenses (Hamster salary, new staff etc) also increase costs by around 300K we are looking at 2 million losses for this year. So the credit line which was standing at 7.2 million a year ago will be up to 9.2 million now.

But, what if Dwane Sports Ltd had insisted that part of Rovers credit facility was loaned to their associate company Dwane Colony Ltd to enable it to purchase the training ground ? If that was the case, and the loan added to the estimated 9.2 million of the credit facility already used, where would it leave Rovers cash wise at this point in time ?

Henbury Gas alleges that the training ground fence has not been paid for but he may be  skirting around the issue. It is the potential for Colony Gate which is of more concern to Rovers fans who are not afflicted with blind faith.

I'm not normally in the know, and what I learnt this weekend isn't much but I thought I'd share it anyway. At an event I was chatting to someone that I'd never met before. During the course of the conversation they revealed that they were involved in the governance and management of the UWE. Thinking that this was my big chance to find out what was happening, I asked about the stadium and received the following three sentence answer before we were interrupted; "It's a work in progress, the UWE still want it, they're waiting for the money to come through". I assume that "they" are the club, so perhaps the hold up is the funding as much as, or even rather than the negotiations with the UWE

and we was told he was supper rich 

3rd richest club in England

Tbf i thought that post was one of the better attempts of using intelligence. Rovers is a bigger word than City, fair play to that poster.

I'm glad we aren't resorting to 'much bigger than them' stuff as I reckon that holds us back.

During the 80's and 90's when we were in the same division, comparisons were obvious but we need to compare ourselves with different clubs to move forward. Yes, I enjoy it when they get beat and lapped it up when they dropped out of the league but being the 'biggest in Bristol' isn't going to get us where we want to get to.

I am totally indifferent to the sags nowadays as it's so long since we played them that it doesn't really register anymore, they're just a club that a few mates support and good for a wind up  but I do not want any comparison made from our part as, I think, that is part of our problem.

We take the piss, as do they, but we've moved on.
