chowie
Say what? http://gaschat.co.uk/post/306926 Perhaps with the new gate, pitch and curtains the redevelopment has been concluded: 'we have good news and bad news. Bad news, no UWE. Good news, you're standing in the newly redeveloped mem but just didn't realise it'

RumRed
Well that's not much of a surprise, hope there is more than that, feel quite let down. Wonder when the charge will be removed from the Mem. Edited August 2, 2017 by RumRed

Coombsy
Dwane Sports is disappointed to announce that its discussions with UWE regarding a potential stadium development for the Club have been brought to a close as the parties were unable to agree acceptable terms. We will now immediately turn our attention to exploring all other opportunities for a new stadium or for a substantive redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium, whilst at the same time continuing to develop the new Colony training ground. We would like to thank the Club's supporters for your continuing patience as we continue to work on this very important project.

Betty Swallocks
And no surprise the fans have lapped it up. Instead of asking questions of the owners they've decided this is a positive thing! Morons the lot of them.
miser
No doubt the deluded few will read the statement as "It's UWE fault for not coming to an agreement " as opposed to "We ain't got any money"

The costs of the UWE planning etc will be transferred into more debt, Al Qadis family clearly have no money to invest, will Dopey want to hang around? Another planning application or search for a location. Scratching for positives? Set the club back another 10 years. Cider_boy
I like this bit of the statement "We will now immediately turn our attention to exploring all other opportunities for a new stadium or for a substantive redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium" Kind of says that despite all the delays, and the club surely knowing for months this was going to happen, there is no plan B in place either. 2
