Bert is definitely telling the world that, Edward Ware, is in talks with a Taiwan person/s and news is out Thursday.

A seasonal poem by B J Tann RA

“Dirty days hath November”

Bathed in darkness by the Jordan bank a tented village lays desolate and forlorn

As riders approach, behold, a shimmering shaft of light penetrates the deepening gloom and a purveyor of conveniently sized plastic food containers comes forth

Pity, say the wise men from the East, we backed you each-way in a handicap with less than sixteen runners and if you had finished in the first three we may have been in business

(With acknowledgement to Mark and Shania Twain from Staple Hill)

I'll have to think about that one a bit more.

Not sure if the riders from the east are Jordanian, Taiwanese, or it's Barry Bradshaw back in the picture with EW.

Whether you are one of us, one of them trying to work us into a lather, or one of them who loves their club dearly and are angry at the way things have gone, you are one of the funniest and most original posters on here.

Could be Bristol Pirates or Bristol Robbers then. Or even Bristol FA.

All purpose exile name - Bristol Movers

Move to Kent - Bristol Dovers

Move to Sussex - Bristol Hovers

Move to Bath - Bristol Loofahs

Try something new (giving up football) - Bristol Roofers

As much as it pains me, I just don't see Wally walking away. Not if he still has FIFA ambitions.

I think they'll be fine.

Having ambitions will only get you so far when your haemorrhaging thousands, week after week, I suppose he could always sale his watch

Perhaps they will reform and merge with Bath as Bristol & Bath Dons or something. Then they could steal Twerton and ditch the Bath name.

We need to warn everyone around on behalf of our egg chasing Bristol Sport cousins and their ground loss.

Bristol Rovers are like a vampire - never invite them in!

Or maybe an infestation...

Not as good as Bristol Rovers, dissolved by the administrator and taxman......

You know they'd be whining about why isn't the taxman paying for a new stadium, why is he being so mean and demanding money when clearly the Gas deserve charity...

Particularly as Bath RFC still have not resolve their stadium plans.

Gas and Bath City merger and a ground share with Bath Rugby would suddenly make a Twerton development look commercially attractive.

Watch this space.....

Truro must be in that world of pain too. I think their ‘derby’ this season is with WSM, must be a 300 mile round trip.

Not sure if still in the same league, but Truro vs Barrow must have been a real pain for the fans.

Travel a couple of hundred miles NE, then have to turn and do 30-40 miles SW again.

A game only worth doing if you decide to spend a whole weekend in Barrow
