Can someone explain to me how a hypothetical arena and a stadium for them are the same thing? Surely the footprint / floor space of an arena is far too small for a football pitch? 

The planned arena was a capacity of 12,000. And we all know that’s at least 100,000 too small

Anyone noticed a couple of marquees and some benches dumped by a roadside on their travels  ?

That’s amazing, I didn’t realise they were planning on adding more to increase their capacity and therefore generate much needed income though a few sausage roll sales. Can you imagine us turning up for a match wondering if our tent had been put up yet.

We bulldozed better facilities than they could ever hope for!!!

Many of us are wondering if we will see Premiership football in our lifetimes, they are wondering if they will ever have somewhere dry to eat their pasties. #MindTheGap

In a world where fans of 1st & 2nd tier clubs feel it’s all turned a bit corporate & sanitised, despite attendances being at the highest for a generation or two, Rovers are “keeping things real” by maintaining the age old traditions of racial abuse, low attendances & keeping the away fans stood on uncovered terraces. Looking back fondly on the days, a quarter of a century ago, when they had the means to spend £375k on a player.

I did see one of the posts suggesting they could sell it as a retro experience and market it as that. Talk about putting a spin on things. Got to admire his spirit in adversity and all that.

Good shout but, I believe, the 'arena' is actually the stadium and the bit alongside is a casino IIRC. Puts my argument to grass I guess although I thought the plan was that the Brabazon hangar was to be converted? Maybe it's the site of the hangar.

Would imagine it to be a new build rather than tarting up a plane-shed.

If they are just going to spruce up a hangar, then you would think it would be cheaper.

Defamation, slander, libel (etc..) are all civil matters except in a very few select circumstances (members of the higher echelons of the Royal Family, certain Crown Officers, blah, blah, blah......), so the Police would not be involved. I think we've been here a few (hundred) times......

But... HG made an allegation of an assault and did this is a very public way so the Police (in the form of JulieH) had an obligation to investigate what could have been a criminal matter. Again, I think we've covered this more than a few times.

Can we agree that HG is an irrelevance and stop mentioning him or this alleged incident?

I am really confused by the section of the post I have highlighted, what in their history would make a neutral more likely to choose them over us as a ream to follow?  Neither club has a great track record, but ours would pan out better and in recent years, a lot better, is there a historical gem I am unaware of?
