Looks like he's just taken a bite of "da foinal turd"... ?

Did I hear cockman correctly on Radio Bristol this morning say he wants his players to enjoy themselves on a great pitch in a great stadium.

Wally must have shot his load into his Chelsea underpants when he heard that

Has he ever had multiple concussions? Might be showing signs of CTE and end up murdering his family

It just said on the radio that Rovers are only 2 wins from a place at Wembley..? Was that just ignorant assumption on their part, or has the Check-a-trade trophy got rid of the 2 legged regional final..?

That lot have always been more interested in 4 legged pastimes.

I think our owners are playing a very dangerous game regarding the loyalty of our fanbase i can remember the days of the faithful 5000 and the way things are going at the club no Stadium, Training Ground, tents, very poor facilities toilets etc relegation battle awful football to watch and lack of transparency charging 1.50 for tap water the crowds will start to dwindle starting from next season, people have lots of other choices like Ashton gate to see proper football in a great new stadium .

Can’t be a SAG post, as it makes sense. Obviously it’s a Ted imposter!

I see their Matty Taylor replacement (who cost them £350k btw) has scored, a penalty may I add, so his outstanding record for the Sags stands at a unbelievable 3 goals in 69 games. It’s No wonder why they keep telling us to be afraid and that they are coming for us with those sort of records.

1 every 23 games.

So are they 1 game, or 3 games from Wembley..?

Not a clue but IF they did make it, I wonder if the ‘loyal and true’ will continue boycotting the competition ?

Of course they won’t they’ll say they took 40k even though the official attendance was 38k and tell the world how great they are.

A very good win for Rovers tonight. Credit where credit is due, and a big bonus is that their recalled top striker has found his best form again.

If they continue at this rate, we could see Forest Green getting promoted, and that other team could be in the league below them.

It hurts to say it but......Come on Rovers!

Imagine my shock, after having a gander around social media, lots of them are suddenly interested in the EFL Trophy as the possibility of getting to Wembley gets closer.

Now correct me if I’m wrong but we’re they or weren’t they saying at the start of this competition that how the EFL have ruined it by allowing u21 teams to enter etc (and rightly so) and how they are boycotting by refusing to attend any games in this now worthless competition, and suprisingly now Wembley is within their sights, out of the woodwork they crawl and all of a sudden they become interested and talking of how much they’ll earn from the final

Now surely if you were a fan and wanted to show what a farce the EFL have made of this trophy, that you are dead against it, and wanting change then the Final at Wembley, the only game from this competition on TV, would be the best game to boycott, would be a right embarrassment for the EFL at an empty stadium?

We all know what the fewers are like, they’ll be out in their droves, saying how much better they are than the shit.

Boycott???

If only they’d boycott Wembley like they do for their home fixtures.

Let them play more games and get to Wembley imo, the competition is ridiculous now and they should boycott it. There wouldn't be a better place than Wembley to stick two fingers up to the EFL and have even a higher percentage of empty seats/space than at their own ground....

They won’t though, the excuses like ‘all the u21 teams are out now so it’s ok to go’ will be in full flow soon, if they haven’t already.

Controversial I know, but I think now that there are no more under-23 teams left in it we should look at this more pragmatically. We need the money. If we got to the final would we give up that sort of potential payday? Could be v useful in extending contracts for good players and bringing in new ones in the summer

Hope we get Bury and win the final. I will be there. ******* massive piss up in the ole smoke. Bring it on! Boycotting won’t effect what will or won’t be. Smaller teams in football get limited special memories. As in life, gotta enjoy them when you can.

Why they go to such lengths to make up so much bullshit is beyond me

Gaschat....

One of my everlasting football memories was signing up for the T.A. in Putney and upon leaving grabbed a pint in a pub near Putney Station. It was full of Rovers fans who were playing Fulham in a cup. The volume of fans was impressive even for a Chelsea fan. The Rovers fans were so friendly and vocal. I didn’t even know where Bristol was. I knew Bristol made good music. I checked the news later and Rovers won. Was happy for those fans. Years later I ended up living in Bristol and became a season ticket holder and now love the Gas more than my childhood team. It’s important if Rovers make the final fans travel in numbers and make Rovers fans of the future coz you never know the impression you can make. Altenatively, travelled to watch my mates team Brighton play Bristol City in 1987 and remember the sh** fans being absolute lady gardens. FTG
