Aww the poor Fewers don’t like being put in their place so it seems, their Captain who’s fvcked off and is leaving them on a free, says he couldn’t wait to get out of there quick enough, says he couldn’t leave sooner ‘for whatever reason’ ?

http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/14421/chris-lines-sincs-locks-having?page=3

Now all of a sudden he’s shit etc etc. One day they may realise that they really are a nothing club, going nowhere ever, but it’s them so it’s highly doubtful.

The most laughable part is they think their reject will get games in a mid/lower table Championship side, they have no idea of the quality these days. Their 3 star players can barely get a game, Taylor being the only one that was even making the subs bench half of the time.

I don't think it would be a huge surprise if he ended up at one of the three teams promoted from L1, as one of those 'extra clubs in the bag' type of squad player.

Wouldn't really criticise them for this. He said essentially say he's been offered it in the interview.

Something I've found quite comedic that hasn't been mentioned on this thread whatsoever is Rovers and Coventry.

Last summer, Rovers signed the Coventry head of recruitment Tommy Widdrington. In that summer they also brought in his son Theo Widdrington after he was released by Portsmouth.

On deadline day in January, Rovers signed two Coventry cast-offs. One that was not wanted anymore in Jonson Clarke-Harris and the other who had been released by Coventry, Abu Ogogo. Although to be fair to them they seem to have been decent signings, Clarke-Harris especially.

They're now linked to two Coventry centre-backs, and apparently want both. Both not wanted at Coventry anymore; Jack Grimmer and Tom Davies.

Considering Coventry are a team that Rovers didn't even lose to this season, it seems hilarious they're signing their cast-offs. And so many of them!

Lunchtime look at Gaschat reveals they have an AGM date, so I guess the accounts are pending.

Guess the loss!

When their accounts are published, this is what happens next...

I'd be incredibly surprised if he got games, he's the type of player Millwall would pick up on a free, low wages & fills their squad out a bit.

Some of the loyal and true still seem to think they took 30k+ to their Non League Final, FFS get over it, was NON LEAGUE!!!

Then again apparently it was the best thing to ever happen to them wasn’t it ??

Indeed. Look at how they’ve soared to the heady heights of League One relegation strugglers, since that stint in non league...!

As Colin Daniel smashes that relegation nail into their coffin, who could have predicted that they’d see such halcyon days again..?!

2 days before the final their ticket sales finished up at 26k.

Most of the top tier was unsold where there’s room for 20k fans from each club. There were plenty of tickets available right until the match so they wouldn’t have been given any tickets in areas unsold by Grimsby fans....there was just no demand for it. Therefore, given the fact that over half the top tier (Rovers end) was unsold there was no way they could’ve had 30k there, let alone 30k+. The figures don’t add up and pictures of the day show this.

With POTD it looks like they had around 28k there.
