Work has been going on at the site for months to get the pitch ready to be fair. New North stand coming on nicely too.

After their play-off win against Sunderland, he'll be able to enjoy his favourite team play the 15ers next year.

When I file my company accounts they appear within minutes (and I file for 4 companies).

That's what I thought.

Sometimes the actual pdf takes a day or so to appear but the record of their having been filed happens almost straight away as they're uploaded directly by the filer.

They're claiming they were electronically filed last Thursday evening?  Maybe Grant Thornton forgot to put a shilling in the meter.

Looks like it is, and they have an historic right to that light. It might be further away than it looks though and the angle of light is very important to consider as well. Very complicated laws to interpret just from a picture.

How could their property value drop any more ? They’re already neighbours of the Gas.

The Q and A section of this article makes for interesting reading. It effectively discounts the idea that the account information was not provided due to takeover discussions.

Holy shit they've somehow made their site even more unusable, whatever programmer is designing that should be shot

keeping company with bury bolton blackpool and sheffield (dodgy ground selling to avoid ffp) wednesday

Oh what great company to keep, three clubs who may not exist by the start of the season and another who may very well have a 9 point deduction before the season starts

To be fair they were still using paper filing for the accounts last year and companies house are currently processing accounts received last Friday so I guess they should appear in a day or two.

The slightly odder thing is that the three dormant company accounts were filed electronically last year and haven't appeared yet.

The quote regarding why they are late does appear to confirm that it took a while for Hani to agree to fund for a further 12 months

Quote

The delay in the process was subject to technical accounting assurances that the auditors wished to obtain

You would have thought that Grant Thornton would have had electronic filing though?

It would have cost him a lot more not to do so as then the accounts are redrawn on a "break up" basis and look at lot worse.

Any potential buyer reading accounts on a break up basis is going to be cutting several million off their offer.  Plus everybody trading with them will want to be paid up front.

Not giving that guarantee would probably have seen them being wound up; it had to be given and evidenced to the auditors how the forecast loss would be funded.  That last may have been the real reason for the delay: obtaining guaranteed additional debt of £3m to cover next season and satisfying the auditors that it will be provided to the club.

A statement from the club explains: 'The accounts were filed by the club's auditors, Grant Thornton, on Thursday evening, but they only used a second class stamp. These things take time'

The comments from the Fewers are laughable as always, instead of worry about what might actually be happening at their poxy little outfit they, aim their anger towards what they see as ‘shit journalism’

Perhaps that’s what all the sand is for on the cabbage patch, so they can all bury their heads together?

I agree about their property values, I was referring to the light. I suppose it could be a question of swings and roundabouts regarding their view, no doubt it's improved it. But, it will do nothing to stop the sound of flapping canvas or the smell of piss from their aging supporter base.

Bristol Fruit Market, just saying .............?

Ok who's on the wind up.

This crops up every year or two and has been doing so for what seems like 20 years or so.

It is shit journalism though. I read they were late with their ‘tax’ at some iteration but tax doesn’t follow accounting period.

But that doesn’t mean it is not significant. Many contracts will provide payment terms - x days after invoices - but if a notice to strike off is notified payment becomes due immediately; credit rating; PR and profile; corp governance, and I can’t imagine GT are too impressed blame laid at their door so publicly unless that is totally justified - no comment; I wouldn’t know.

I agree yes the Journalism is shit, I said on here a few weeks back now that if our local rag were any decent sort of news outlet they’d of sent someone down Chernobyl trying to find out, not just for themselves but for the loyal and true masses as to what the hell is happening down there, but they don’t kick up a fuss enough for anybody to take any notice, so end up with the shit club they deserve.

I mean how can anymore not feel sorry for them, and just gift them a new stadium for absolutely nothing, when you have supporters like this deluded bellend below....

Amazing fan base, the loyalty we've shown since that horrendous relegation to the Conference, the unbelievable away support no matter where in the Country we are, we really deserve better. Not asking for the World, but something, anything to make us feel we're appreciated more than a crap ground with crap facilities.

Why isit that those morons think that they are so hard done by and ‘deserve’ so much better? Plenty on here warned you to$$ers that Wally wasn’t all he was being made out to be yet were labelled ‘jealous bitter teds’ etc, there has been numerous warning signs with the activities he’s been upto, yet you still chose to believe his bullshit he’s continued to feed you, you’ve bent over for him since he’s taken over and have let him shaft you bone dry ever since and not spoke up once, so whatever happens to your shitty little club now you deserve it all.

It's not even journalism is it, it's just re-active hackery. Any proper journalist would be off his fat arse and get down there to see what exactly is the problem..................unless they know it's a total waste of time trying to get any truth out of those shite hawks !

Tbf I would expect a journo in this instance to know the difference between tax and accounting.  What I read was a shocker, so bad it went beyond explaining
