Estimate for the stadium build alone would be 45m - 50m for a standard finish.
Numero Uno
In typical Gas fashion we’re at 25K having started at a more realistic 20K. How long before the bloody thing is bigger than Old Trafford? 1

Cost of the land plus 40 or 50 million - might be higher post-Brexit if tariffs are applied to imported materials.

Where did the extra 5,000 come from? No doubt, by tomorrow it will be 30,000 even though it won't be built as they would have to actually pay for it and couldn't afford a £20K transfer fee. Maybe they should ask Tomas Kalas to lend them a week's wages eh? Edited August 4, 2019 by Ska Junkie

BS2 Red
Hilarious that the 15ers think they can take the piss. They can only dream of regularly playing quality teams. The last time they played leads was when they cleared out Darryl’s locker and found his collection of dog leashes.

zippycar
Spoke to someone today with a financial interest in the fruit market. Said that a conditional offer to purchase the site had been received, but it would have to be agreed by 75% of the owners and that there are multiple parties that own the site, so far from straightforward. Also mentioned a 7 to 9 year time scale, so where Wael is getting a two year build from is anyone’s guess? Presumably time would be needed to relocate from the fruit market, aside from all of the other hurdles and issues mentioned in previous threads. The development will also include a hotel, offices, restaurants, cinema complex and associated parking. The project is said to be financed through the support of the Bahrain Arab International Bank (BAIB) and the Kuwait Asia Bank. The Memorial ground will get sold off to fund the scheme, hotels etc will get built using that money, and then when it comes to building the football stadium the money would have ran out.

bert tann
There may have been a mistake in translation from the original Arabic.
